Sinema; toplumun karşılıklı etkileşim içinde olduğu genel kabul görmüş ve üzerinde pek çok araştırma yapılan bir sanat dalıdır. Sinema gerek ortaya çıktığı yerin ve zamanın tanımlanması bakımından, gerekse toplumsal yapıyı oluşturan siyaset, ekonomi, tarih ve özellikle kültürü aktarması, toplumu anlaması bakımından iyi bir yol göstericidir. Bu çalışmada; korku tanımının yapılmasının ardından, Türk Sineması’ nda korku türünün önemli ve popüler alt türlerinden biri olan vampir filmleri incelenmiş, 1949-2015 yılları arasındaki vampir filmleri arasından seçilmiş, Türk Sineması’ nın ilk vampir filmi olan ‘‘Drakula İstanbul’ da’’ filmi çözümlenerek, sinema dili açısından biçim ve içerik özellikleriyle ilgili bulgular ortaya konulmuştur.
Cinema is an art branch that has been generally recognized that society is interacting and has been researched on it. The film is a good guide in terms of the definition of the place and time where it occurs, the translation of politics, economics, history and especially culture that forms the social structure if necessary, in terms of the understanding of society. In this study, after the definition of horror was made, the Vampire films, which are one of the important and popular subtypes of horror in the Turkish Cinema, were studied, selected among the Vampire films between the years 1949-2015, the first Vampire film of the Turkish Cinema, "Drakula in Istanbul" film was solved, the findings related to the form and content characteristics in terms of the cinema language were revealed.
