The protective cover is called the skin that keeps the leaves together in order to prevent the breakdown. It is the material that is commonly used in the art. With the decorations made on the cover, the skin begins to develop artistically over time, and this situation makes the cover of the skin more valuable. The preservation of these coverages has been established in writing works libraries to be transferred to the next generations. Writing works libraries have made it possible to reach these coverings that are important in terms of art and history to the present day. One of these libraries is the Yusuf Ağa Library, built in 1796 in Konya. In this study, two examples of the skin found in the Yusuf Ağa Library, dated the 18th century, were studied. The first of these examples was the printing technique on the skin, and the second the painting technique on the skin. The motifs used in the example in which the printing technique is applied are in the naturalist style. On the skin with painted skin cover, the yellow technique is applied. The 18th century is a period in which new decoration techniques and motives entered the art of the skin. While new techniques are used, the techniques and motives applied in the classical era have not been abandoned in this period. The two skin samples studied in the study are qualified to reflect these characteristics of the 18th century skin art.
