Abstract:

The change increases its importance in terms of universities as well as for every organization. The universities, especially in the context of responding to the demands of society and industry, are more exposed to the pressure created by the process of change, but with the right strategic approaches they are getting more effective management and competitive structure. In this framework, from traditional (first generation) and modern (second generation) universities, the trend of rapidly evolving towards the entrepreneurial (third generation) university model, the current dynamics are studied in order to contribute to both the relevant literature and the practices in the academic world, a foundation university located in the province of Mersin and having the character of being the first foundation university of the Mediterranean region has been selected for this study; the aim of the sample method has been applied and the results of the research of the "Nivo 12" program, which has been achieved by the results of the discussions with the five participants, including the university's director and four teachers with administrative responsibilities.The results of the analysis found that the emerging topics were gathered under the titles "Mission, Vision and Fundamental Values", "Enterprise University", "Internationalization of the University" and "Strategic Management of Change".In this context, the university attracted by its entrepreneurial structure, in particular, is in cooperation with the public and private sector in various forms and at the maximum level and, in addition to the theoretical knowledge that students acquire at the university, many different activities to be implemented within the university (such as stages, entrepreneurship, academic project writing, simulation practices, the integration of field-based software into classes) and the quality of education has a more dynamic and competitive structure by bringing to the desired level.
