Abstract:

The research was carried out in the Payed City, which forms the Payed District center associated with the Izmir province. The aim of the study is to determine how suitable the choice of school location is in terms of transportation to provide a better education. Only public schools have been included in the research scope because education is a constitutional right. According to the analysis, the most important problem in the field is the accessibility in the kindergartens. The main reason for this problem is that there are only three kindergartens in the field. According to the analysis, only 15.3 per cent of 3401 childhood students have access to education at the distances specified in the regulations. The children's schools in the paid city are located in the Turkmen, Anafartalar and Hürriyet neighborhoods, and there are no government-owned children's schools outside of these neighborhoods. In the city, the vacancies arising from the lack of their kindergartens were attempted to fill with the maternal tables, but the availability rate still did not exceed 53.9%.
