In Europe, the 17th and 18th centuries, the artists have gained a new momentum with the use of ceramic materials as an instrument of expression in the modern art. In Europe, the famous artists of the time, like Picasso, Dan Flavin, Georges Braque, Joan Miro, have presented contemporary ceramic works. In the framework of this understanding in our country, academies have been established since the 1920s, and the artists of the time who came abroad began to produce ceramic works in the framework of contemporary art understanding. In modern ceramic works produced in our country, it is also seen that artists process the forms of archaeological periods directly or indirectly as images. In this study, examples of archaeological images included in contemporary ceramic wall panels were studied, and archaeological forms used in the designs of the ceramic panels were studied. The design process of the modern ceramic panel application of the archaeological forms in the Modernist style, which is used as an image of the archaeological patterns located in the area of Malatya, has been evaluated.
