Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin STEM tutumları ve fen öz yeterlik algıları ile FeTeMM meslek ilgileri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmektir. Bu kapsamda araştırmada nicel yöntem kapsamında olan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya Elazığ il merkezinde beş faklı okuldan toplam 458 ortaokul öğrencisi katılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler bağımsız gruplar t testi, korelasyon ve çoklu regresyon analizleri yapılarak betimlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda STEM tutum, öz yeterlik ve FeTeMM meslek ilgileri arasında ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. STEM tutum, fen öz yeterlik ve FeTeMM meslek ilgilerinde erkekler lehine anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çoklu regresyon analizi sonucunda öğrencilerin STEM tutum ve öz yeterlik algıları ile FeTeMM meslek ilgileri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yordayıcı değişkenlerin FeTeMM meslek ilgileri üzerindeki önem sırası, STEM tutum ve öz yeterlik algısı şeklinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yordayıcı değişkenlerden STEM tutum (p<0,01) ve öz yeterlik algı (p<0,01) değişkenlerinin FeTeMM meslek ilgi düzeyleri üzerinde anlamlı yordayıcı oldukları tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the STEM attitudes of high school students and the perceptions of science self-qualification and FeTeMM professional interests. In this context, the research has used a relative scan model that is within the scan of the quantum method. The study included a total of 458 high school students from five faculties in the Elazığ province center. The data obtained in the study was depicted by making independent groups t tests, correlation and multiple regression analyses. The study found that there was a relationship between STEM attitude, self-capacity and FeTeMM professional interests. STEM attitude, science self-capacity and FeTeMM occupational interests have been determined to be a significant difference in the benefit of men. Multiple regression analysis found that there was a meaningful relationship between STEM attitudes and self-capacity perceptions of students and FeTeMM professional interests. It has been determined that the importance of the variables on the FeTeMM professional interests is in the form of STEM attitude and self-capacity perception. The STEM attitude (p<0,01) and self-capacity perception (p<0,01) variables from the subjective variables have been found to be significantly subjective over the FeTeMM professional interest levels.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between STEM attitudes and science self-efficacy perceptions of middle school students and STEM career interest. The target population of the study involved all the middle school students in Elazığ city, while the sample was composed of 458 students. In the analysis of the data, independent groups t test, multiple regression and correlation analysis were used. The findings, when the relationships between the variables are examined, it was revealed that there was revealed a positive relationship among them STEM attitudes, science self-efficacy beliefs, and STEM career interest. A significant difference was found in favor of male students as a result of the comparison of levels interest towards STEM career, STEM attitudes and science self-efficacy perceptions of students according to gender variable. STEM attitudes (p<0,01) and science self-efficacy perceptions (p<0,01) variables were found to be a significant predictor of students’ STEM career interest scores.
