Geyve, Sakarya iline bağlı bir ilçedir. Geyve, tarihi derinliği coğrafi önem ile birleştirmiş bir geçiş noktasıdır. Bursa-İznik-Bolu-İstanbul gibi merkezlere yakınlığı da kültürel anlamdaki ağırlığını arttırmıştır. TRT THM Repertuvarı’nda Sakarya iline kayıtlı toplam 7 türkü bulunmaktadır. Bu 7 türkünün 5 tanesinin Geyve ilçesine kayıtlı olması, Geyve’nin müzik kültürü açısından önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Geyve’de farklı tarihlerde yaptığımız alan araştırması neticesinde 20 adet türkü derledik. Derlenen türküleri farklı açılardan inceledik. Bu derleme ve inceleme çalışmaları sonucunda Geyve’nin müzikal yapısını ortaya koymayı ve başka yörelerle karşılaştırma yapmayı amaçladık. Çalışmamızda kişisel görüşme, alan araştırması ve literatür tarama yöntemleri kullanılmıştır.
Geyve is an associated district with Sakarya. Geyve is a transitional point that combines historical depth with geographical importance. The proximity to centres such as Bursa-İznik-Bolu-Istanbul has also increased its cultural weight. The TRT THM Repertuvary has a total of 7 species registered in Sakarya province. The fact that 5 of these 7 turks are registered in the Geyve district shows the importance of Geyve in terms of music culture. In Geyve, we have collected 20 types of field research in different dates. We looked at the Turks from different points of view. As a result of this collection and review work, we intended to reveal the musical structure of Geyve and make comparisons with other places. In our study, personal interviews, field research and literature scan methods were used.
Geyve is a county that is within the borders of Sakarya. Geyve is a transition point that has combined the history with geographical importance. Being close to some locations such as Bursa-İznik-Bolu-İstanbul increases the significance culturally. There are 7 folk songs being registered from Sakarya in the Turkish Folk Music Repertoire of Turkish Radio and Television Association (TRT). The fact of being registered 5 of these 7 folk songs from Geyve reveals its importance in terms of music culture. We compiled 20 folk songs as a result of field studies done in different dates. Compiled folk songs were analyzed in varied aspects. We aimed to show the musical structure of Geyve and compare them with other regions in consequence of our studies. Personal interviews, field studies and literature review are used methods in this study.
