Özet:

The aim of the work is to determine the percentage of the construction sector in Turkey in the past twenty years within the GDP of Turkey through the time series in periods of three months. Method: The research has taken from Tüik, the construction sector growth figures and GDP of the quarterly periods between January 1999 and December 2017 and the time series with the Eviews package program. The study applied the Extended Dickey - Fuller Unit Root Test (ADF), the Johansen Integration Test and the Granger Causal Test. Results: The research results found that the series were not stable, meaning that the unit was root. The Johansen Integration Test resulted in the identification of the integration, and the Granger Causal Analysis also found that the construction sector in Turkey is the cause of GDP. The result is that the impact of the construction sector on GDP is identified and the situation in Turkey in 2018 is taken into account to prevent the decline in the construction sector.
