Bosnalı Mehmet Fâzıl Paşa (1799-1882), XIX. asır devlet adamı ve şairlerindendir. Fakat daha ziyade bir devlet adamıdır ki şairlik imkânlarını bu istikamette kullandığını ve siyasi çekişmelerin merkezinde geçen ömrünün edebi kariyerine galebe çaldığını söylemek yanlış olmaz. Fâzıl Paşa Âlî Paşa’ya, dolayısı ile iktidara tâbî olması hasebi ile Ziya Paşa gibi muhaliflerin de karşısındadır. Fâzıl Paşa Zafer-nâme’deki ifadelere göre Ziya Paşa’yı eleştiren bir kıtʻa ile İzmid mutasarrıfı olur. Fakat şâirliğini bu maksatla kullanmanın nelere mal olacağını Zafernâme’nin yazılmasından sonra anlar. Esasında Ziyâ Paşa’ya muhalif olmayan, hatta Dîvân’ındaki 48. târihi Ziyâ Paşa’nın Bosna Müfettişliğine getirilmesi münâsebetiyle yazan Fâzıl Paşa bu kadar kolay makam edinivermek muhtevalı olarak eleştirilir; köpek ve soytarı gibi ağır hitaplarla tahkir edilir. Fâzıl Paşa altta kalmaz, “Reddiye ve Tekzibiyye” ile kendini savunur. Şâirlik hüneri bakımından tahkir edilen hatta okuması kıt, câhil biri olarak nitelenen Bosnalı Mehmet Fâzıl Paşa’nın Dîvân’ını Klasik Türk Şiiri’nin en mühim ögelerinden olan “sevgili” ve “onun güzellik unsurları” bakımından incelemek ile en azından bu suçlamalara cevap vermiş olacağız. En büyük talihsizliği Ziyâ Paşa gibi dev bir ismi karşısına almak olan Fâzıl Paşa gösterileceği üzere mazmun kültürüne hâkim, aruz konusunda hünerli ve akıcı üslubu ile en azından vasatın üzerinde bir şâir olarak karşımıza çıkar.
The Bosnian Mehmet Fâzıl Pasha (1799-1882), XIX. It is a state man and poet. But it is rather a public man who is using his poetry possibilities in this position and that his life in the center of political disputes has won his literary career. He is the one who gives righteousness to God, and he is the one who gives righteousness to God, and he is the one who gives righteousness to God. According to the words of Fâzıl Paşa Zafer-Nâme, a kitt’a that criticizes Ziya Paşa becomes Izmid mutasarrıf. But he understands how much it will cost to use his poetry for this purpose after Zafaranâme is written. In fact, Zia Pasha is not opposed, even in Devan 48. Fâzıl Pasha, who writes with the monasterium of bringing Ziyâ Pasha to the Bosnian Inspectorate, is critical to obtain such an easy position; he is treated with heavy talks like a dog and a thief. The greatest misfortune is to be faced with a huge name like Zia Pasha, Fâzıl Pasha is shown to be the judge of the Mazmun culture, with a humble and fluid style on the arose, at least as a poet on the vasat.
Bosnian Mehmet Fâzıl Pasha (1799-1882) is one of the statesmen and poets of the XIX. century. However, he is rather a statesman and it would not be wrong to say that he used his talents of poetry in this direction and his life in the center of political conflicts surpassed his literary career. Fâzıl Pasha stood against opponents of the government and Âlî Pasha such as Ziya Pasha, because of his admission to the government. According to the statements in Zafar-nâme, Fâzıl Pasha became mutasarrıf (administrator authority of sanjaks) of İzmid with a stanza which is criticizing Ziya Pasha. But after the writing of Zafernâme, he understands what it will cost to use his poetry for this purpose. Fâzıl Pasha, who actually was not opposed to Ziyâ Pasha, and who even wrote the 48th anniversary in his Divan to Ziya Pasha for his promotion to overseer of Bosna, was criticized for getting such an authority so easily; he gets insulted with words like dog and clown. Fâzıl Pasha defends himself with “Reddiye ve Tekzibiyye” (Rejection and Refutation). We will examine the diwan of the Bosnian Mehmet Fâzıl Pasha in terms of the most important elements of Classical Turkish Poetry “loved one” and “her elements of beauty”, and thus answer the allegations that he is almost illiterate and an uneducated person. Fâzıl Pasha, who had the greatest misfortune to confront a giant name like Ziyâ Pasha, will Show up as a poem over the mediocre with his skillful and fluent style in the field of aruz prosody.
