As the need for housing within the city increased, the number of parcels allocated to housing areas in the urban planning has increased and even the satisfaction of this need has overcome the need of people for green areas. So even the small-scale areas allocated for the housing environment have caused people sitting in the Buddha houses that have begun to be used to address the need for parking. Concepts such as green city, landscape urbanism or ecological city have emerged to find solutions to the problems that exist. Based on these concepts, the concept of the transformation of every area that the housing areas possess into green spaces came to the forefront of the Buddha green roofs, the concept of roof gardens. The green roofs have provided the environmental and economic assessment of the locations within the city. This study was done in the Yomra district, which is located in the province of Trabzon, where settlements have been observed to increase quite rapidly in recent times. In the study, the settlements of the Yomra district and open green areas were analyzed. The analyses have identified the areas that can be used as a green roof and the sample study has been prepared. The results of the study have developed recommendations on how houses can evaluate their own areas for their users against policies that are not given for green open spaces in planning.

Even so, even the small-scale areas reserved for the residential environment have begun to be used to eliminate the need for parking, which has caused people sitting in the houses to break away from the green. Concepts such as a green city, a landscape city or an ecological city have emerged in order to find solutions to the problems that exist. At the basis of these concepts, the concept of transforming every area of residential areas into green spaces has come to the forefront, which has brought the concept of green roofs and roof gardens to the foreground. The green roofs provided the ecological and economic evaluation of the places in the city. This study was carried out in the province of Yomra in Trabzon province where the settlement places have seen a considerable increase in recent times. In the study, settlements and open green areas of Yomra district were analyzed. As a result of the analyzes, the areas which can be used as the green roof were determined and the sample work was prepared. As a result of the study, proposals have been made on how the residents can evaluate their own areas for users against policies that do not provide for green open spaces in the plans.
