Abstract:

Seramiğin tarihi, uygarlık kadar eskidir. Kil, suyu uzun süre muhafaza eden, ıslanınca şekil alabilen bir malzemedir. Seramiğin M.Ö. 6000 yıllarında Anadolu’ da üretildiği bilinmekle birlikte, Çatalhöyük’te bulunan seramik parçaları, bozulmadan günümüze ulaşmış ve insanlık tarihi hakkında ilk ipuçlarını bizlere sunmuştur. Binlerce yıl bozulmadan günümüze gelen seramikler, yazı, sembol ve resimler aracılığıyla, uygarlıkların yaşam tarzlarını ve kültürel farklılıkları hakkında günümüze bilgi vermektedir. İlk seramiklerin M.Ö. 6000 yıllarında Anadolu’ da bulunmasından sonra, ilk sırlı seramiklerin de M.Ö. 4000 yıllarında Mısır’ da ortaya çıktığı bilinmektedir. Ayrıca seramik doğal yollar ile doğadan elde edildiği için, sağlıklı ve doğaya zarar vermeyen bir malzemedir. Tarihten günümüz seramiğine gelene kadar, malzeme üzerinde birçok pişirim tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu tekniklerin en önemlileri Raku pişirim tekniği, Odunlu pişirim tekniği, Obvara pişirim tekniği, Sagar pişirim tekniği, Redüksiyon pişirim tekniği, Çukur pişirim tekniği, Macsabal pişirim tekniği, Tuzlu pişirim tekniğidir. Araştırmada Obvara pişirim tekniği ve bu teknikle yapılan geleneksel uygulamaların, çağdaş sanata yansımaları ve bu tekniği kullanan birkaç sanatçının çalışmaları üzerinden örneklerle ele alınmıştır.

The history of ceramics is as old as civilization. It is a material that keeps the water for a long time, which can take shape when it is wet. The Seramics M. Although it is known that it was produced in Anatolia in 6000 years, the ceramic pieces found in Çatalhöyük have reached our day without degradation and have given us their first clues about the history of humanity. Thro thousands of years of disruption, through ceramics, writings, symbols and paintings, it provides information to us about the lifestyle and cultural differences of civilizations. The first ceramics. After it was found in Anatolia in 6000 years, the first secret ceramics were found in M.E. It is known that it appeared in Egypt in 4,000 years. Also, as ceramics are obtained from nature by natural means, it is a healthy and harmful material to nature. From history to today, many cooking techniques have been used on the material. The most important of these techniques are Raku Cooking Technique, Wood Cooking Technique, Obvara Cooking Technique, Sagar Cooking Technique, Reduction Cooking Technique, Hole Cooking Technique, Macsabal Cooking Technique, Salt Cooking Technique. In the study, Obvara’s cooking technique and the traditional practices made with this technique, reflections of contemporary art and the work of several artists using this technique, were addressed with examples.

The history of ceramics is as old as civilization. Clay is a material that absorbs water for long periods and can take shape after being wet. Although it is known that the ceramics was produced in Anatolia around 6000 BC, the pieces of ceramics found in Çatalhöyük have survived to the present day and presented the first clues about the history of mankind. Ceramics, which have survived for thousands of years, provide information about the lifestyles and cultural differences of civilizations through writing, symbols and paintings. It is known that after the first ceramics were found in Anatolia around 6000 BC, the first glazed ceramics appeared in Egypt around 4000 BC. Ceramic is also a material that does not harm the environment because it is obtained from nature by natural methods. Many firing techniques have been used on clay from past to today’s ceramic. The most important of these tecniques are raku firing, wood firing, obvara firing, saggar firing, reduction firing, pit firing, macsabal firing, salt firing techniques. In this study, Obvara firing technique and the traditional applications made with this technique are discussed with examples from the works of several artists using this technique.
