Abstract:

Öğrenciyi merkeze alan yeni sosyal bilgiler öğretim programında bireylerin yeni bilgiler edinebilmeleri, edindikleri bilgileri var olan bilgileriyle ilişkilendirip, hayata geçirebilmelerinde kavram öğretimi önemli bir yere sahiptir. Kavramın tanımını vermek kavramın öğrenildiği anlamına gelmemelidir. Kavram öğretiminde kavramın ayırt edici özellikleri, ayırt edici olmayan özellikleri ve kavrama yönelik faklı örnekler verilmelidir. Kavram öğretiminde en çok karşılaşılan sorun kavram yanılgılarıdır. Kavram yanılgılarının ortaya çıkışı kişinin önceden getirdiği öğrenmeler, çevre ve öğretmen tutumları gibi birçok nedene bağlanabilir. Bu çalışma sosyal bilgiler dersinde yer alan “ekonomik faaliyet, üretim, tüketim, ithalat, ihracat, girişimci” kavramlarının öğretimini sağlayarak, kavramlara yönelik oluşan kavram yanılgılarını tespit edip, ortadan kaldırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden eylem araştırması kullanılmıştır. Çalışma için kavram içerik analizine uygun kavram haritaları, zihin haritaları, kavram bulmacaları, anlamlı çözümleme tabloları, kavram metinleri gibi birçok öğretim tekniğini içeren etkinlikler hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin kavramları daha iyi öğrendiği, kavramlara yönelik çeşitli örnekler verebildiği ve kavram yanılgılarının azaldığı görülmüştür.

"Concept teaching" has an important place in the new Social Studies teaching program that takes students to the centre, to obtain new information and to associate and implement the information they acquire. Giving the definition of the concept should not mean that the concept is learned. In concept teaching, distinctive characteristics of the concept, non-distinguishing features and different examples of grip should be given. The most common problem in concept teaching is the concept of illusions. The emergence of concept illusions can be attributed to a lot of reason such as the learning of the person, the environment and teacher attitudes. This study was conducted in order to identify and eliminate the concepts of concept related to concepts by providing the teaching of "economic activity, production, consumption, import, export, entrepreneur" in social studies. In the study, activities involving various teaching techniques such as action maps, concept puzzles, meaningful analysis tables and concept texts are prepared from qualitative research patterns. As a result of the research, it has been seen that students learn the concepts better, give a variety of examples of concepts, and decrease in concept illusions.
