Hanbelî fıkıh âlimi olan Muhammed b. Kudâme’nin muhtasar kelâm eseri olan Lum’atü’l-İtikâd’da genel anlamda selefî çizgiye bağlı kalındığı görülmektedir. Çalışmanın tamamında, aklın Tanrı’nın künhünü tam anlamıyla açığa çıkaramayacağını, bu nedenle de tevil yerine ashâbın zihnindeki Tanrı tasavvuruna bağlı kalınması gerektiği vurgulanmaktadır. Bu anlamda aklın ortaya atacağı her türlü teoriden sakınılması gerekmektedir. İbn Kudâme bu nevi meselelerde selef çizgide kalıp onların esas aldığı usûl üzere hareket ederek keyfiyetsiz iman etmeyi tercih etmiştir. Ancak onun böyle düşünmesi müşebbihe (antropomorfist) olduğu anlamına gelmemelidir. Onun buradaki esas kaygısı nassları literal anlamda kabul etmek değil, bilakis Tanrı’nın mahiyeti ya da keyfiyeti hususunda aklın yetersiz olduğunu ortaya koyabilmektir. Nitekim hemen her fırsatta Tanrı’nın mahlûkâta nazaran ne denli müteal olduğunu ifade etmekten geri kalmamıştır. Tanrı’nın, vahdaniyet açısından eşsiz olduğunu belirtmiştir. Bizim bu çalışmadaki en temel amacımız Muhammed b. Kudâme özelinde Hanbelîlerin antropomorfist olmadıklarını ortaya koyabilmektir.
Muhammad ibn Kudamah who is the scholar of the Hanbali fiqh, appears to belong to his predecessor line (Salafizm) in the work called Lumat al-Itikad, a short theological work. In the whole study, it is emphasized that the mind cannot fully reveal the nature of God, therefore it is necessary to adhere to the idea of God in the mind of the companions (ashâb) instead of comment. In this sense, it is necessary to avoid any theory of reason. Muhammad ibn Kudamah chose to believe in such matters without interrogation by acting on the basis of their predecessor method. However, his thinking should not mean that he is an anthropomorphist. His main concern here is not to accept literally texts (nass), but rather to reveal that the mind is insufficient for the nature of God. As a matter of fact, he has always stated that God is higher than other beings. He stated that God is unique in terms of uniqueness (vahdaniyyah). Our main aim in this study is to be able to reveal that the Hanbalis in particular of ibn Kudamah are not anthropomorphist.
