Otizmli çocukların tedavisinde; direk çocukla ilişkili, aile merkezli ve aile- çocuk etkileşimli birçok müdahale yöntemi kullanılmaktadır. Bu sistematik derlemede amaç Aile temelli müdahale programlarının otizimli çocuk üzerindeki davranışsal, sosyal, iletişimsel, dil becerisi gibi alanlardaki gelişimini nasıl etkilediği incelenmiştir. Derleme York Üniversitesi Ulusal Sağlık Araştırmaları Enstitüsü tarafından geliştirilen Centre for Reviews and Dissemination 2009 rehberi doğrultusunda yapılmıştır. Tarama sonucunda araştırma kapsamına üç çalışma alınmıştır. Çalışmalar aile merkezli müdahalelerin çocuk üzerindeki etkisini tartışmaya açmaktadır. IQ, dil gelişimi, motor beceriler, günlük aktiviteler, adaptif davranış, otizm semptomlarının azaltılması gibi alanlarda etkili olduğu ancak beklenen gelişmenin gerçekleştirilememesi nedeniyle müdahale modelleri ve uygulamaları tartışılmalıdır.

In this systematic review, the aim was to examine how Family-based intervention programs affected the development of children in autism, such as behavioral, social, communicative, and language skills.
