Büyümenin kaynağı olan üretim faktörlerinin önem sırası zaman içinde değişiklik göstermiş olup bu değişiklik beşeri sermayeyi her geçen gün daha fazla öne çıkarmaktadır. Günümüzde üretim kapasitesinin arttırılmasında kilit rolü beşeri sermaye üstlenmektedir. Beşeri sermaye başlıca eğitim ve sağlık unsurlarından meydana gelmiş olup insanın sahip olduğu bilgi, beceri, tecrübe ve niteliklerin toplamıdır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye ekonomisinin 1981-2013 dönemi yıllık verileri kullanılarak beşeri sermaye unsurlarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkileri VAR yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda beşeri sermaye değişkenlerinde meydana gelen şokun, ekonomik büyümeyi %1,82 oranında etkilediği ve şokların etkisinin 3 yıl sürdüğü görülmüştür.

The order of importance of the factors of production which are the source of economic growth have varied over time, these changes further highlights human capital with every passing day. Today, human capital plays a key role in increasing the production capacity. human capital has been mainly composed of two elements which are education and health; additionally, it is a collection of resources like knowledge, talents, skills, abilities, experience. İn this Study, effets of human capital componenets on Turkey’s economic growth were analyzed by VAR method by using the yearly data for period of 1981-2013. As a result of the analysis it has been seen that a shock which happens to human capital components has influenced the economic growth the rate of approximately 1.82% and the effects lasted 3 years on average.
