Abstract:

Method and system discussions are also on the rise as the current economic system is inadequate to meet community expectations, demands and needs. While the fact that economics does not rely on definite cause-effect relations as much as natural sciences allows us to discuss very different methods, continual change of the world and human relations studied has resulted in constantly changing these controversial methods. The beginning of the interrogation is laying the groundwork for the formation of a new economic stream. First of all, opinions about the basic reason leading to the economic problems that can not be solved together with the recent global economic crises are spreading neo-classical system itself. In the first part of the study, the basic principles of traditional economics will be addressed. In the second part, criticisms directed to traditional economics will be given. In the third part, the identity of science as economics will be emphasized. In the fourth section, the Post Economics Movement which is the center of criticisms and methodological discussions directed to the view of dominant economics for the last 3 years will be briefly introduced. In the conclusion section, it will be questioned how the method and system of a new economics which is tried to be created in the direction of all these discussions should be.
