ANTRENÖR LİDERLİK DAVRANIŞLARININ BAŞARI MOTİVASYONU ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: HALK OYUNCULAR ÜZERİNDE BİR UYGULAMA

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’nin çeşitli üniversitelerinde halk oyunları ekiplerine dahil olan öğrencilerin, algıladıkları antrenör liderlik davranışlarının başarı motivasyonları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2014-2015 yılında üniversiteler arası halk oyunları yarışma sezonunda Üniversite Sporları Federasyonuna kayıtlı olup, öğrenim gördükleri üniversitelerde halk oyunları ekiplerinde oynayan ve yarışmalara katılan lisanslı oyuncular oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise, 2014-2015 yarışma sezonunda üniversite sporları federasyonu halaylar grup yarışmasına katılan oyuncular ve aynı sezon yarışmaya katılan Karabük Üniversitesinin lisanslı halk oyuncuları oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya 152 kadın ve 136 erkek olmak üzere toplam 288 oyuncu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, Chelladurai ve Saleh (1980) tarafından geliştirilen “Sporda Liderlik Ölçeği” ve Willis (1982) tarafından geliştirilen “Başarı Motivasyonu Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde istatistiksel yöntem olarak frekans analizi, parametreler arası ilişkilerin analizi için Spearman Korelasyon analizi, iki bağımsız grubun karşılaştırılması için Mann Whitney U ve ikiden fazla bağımsız grubun karşılaştırılması için de Kruskal Wallis H-Testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, halk oyuncularının eğitici ve öğretici davranış algılamaları ile demokratik davranış algılamaları, sosyal destek davranışı algılamaları, pozitif geribildirim davranışı algılamaları ve başarı motivasyonları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu; oyuncuların demokratik davranış algılamaları ile sosyal destek davranışı algılamaları ve pozitif geribildirim davranışı algılamaları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu; oyuncuların otokratik davranış algılamaları ile sosyal destek davranışı algılamaları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu; oyuncuların sosyal destek davranışı algılamaları ile pozitif geribildirim davranışı algılamaları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu; son olarak da oyuncuların pozitif geribildirim davranışı algılamaları ile başarı motivasyonları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Bunun yanında araştırma sonucuna göre, oyuncuların antrenör liderlik davranışı algılamalarında cinsiyet ve üniversite değişkenine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca oyuncuların başarı motivasyonu düzeylerinde cinsiyet değişkenine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamazken; üniversite değişkenine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.

The impact of coach leadership behaviors on the motivation of success: an application on people's players

Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to explore the impact of students involved in the public games teams in various universities in Turkey, the coach leadership behavior they perceive on the motivations for success. The universe of research is registered in the University Sports Federation in the interuniversity public games competition season 2014-2015 and forms licensed players playing in the public games teams in the universities they study and participating in the competitions. The examples of the study were made by players who participated in the group competition of the University Sports Federation in the 2014-2015 competition season and licensed public players from the Karabük University who participated in the competition in the same season. The survey included a total of 288 volunteers, including 152 women and 136 men. As a data collection tool in the research, the "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher, the "Sport Leadership Scale" developed by Chelladurai and Saleh (1980) and the "Success Motivation Scale" developed by Willis (1982) were used. In the evaluation of the obtained data, the statistical method of frequency analysis, Spearman Correlation analysis for the analysis of the interparametric relationships, Mann Whitney U for the comparison of two independent groups, and Kruskal Wallis H-Test for the comparison of more than two independent groups were also used. The study found that public players’ educational and educational behavior perceptions and democratic behavior perceptions, social support behavior perceptions, positive feedback behavior perceptions and success motivations had a positive-significant relationship; that the player’s democratic behavior perceptions and social support behavior perceptions and positive feedback behavior perceptions had a positive-significant relationship; that the player’s autocratic behavior perceptions and social support behavior perceptions had a positive-significant relationship; that the player’s social support behavior perceptions and positive feedback behavior perceptions had a positive-significant relationship; that the player’s positive feedback behavior perceptions had a positive-significant relationship; that the player’s positive feedback behavior perceptions had a positive-significant relationship.In addition, the research finds a statistically meaningful difference in players’ trainer leadership behavior perceptions according to gender and university variables.In addition, there is no statistically meaningful difference in the level of players’ success motivation according to the gender variable; a statistically meaningful difference according to the university variable has been found.

This study aims to investigate the effect of trainer’s leadership behaviours perceieved by sportsmen participating in folk dance teams at various universities in Turkey on their success motivation. The target population of the study consists of licenced players who were registered to the federation of university sports, played in folk dance teams at their universities and joined the competitions in 2014-2015 competition season. The sample of the study consists of folk dance players who joined a halay group competition of the university sports federation in 2014-2015 competition season and the licenced players of Karabük University who joined the competition in the same season. In total, 288 players consisting of 152 female players and 136 male players voluntarily participated in the study. “Personal Informatıon Form” developed by the researcher, “The Scale of Leadership in Sport” developed by Chelledurai and Saleh (1980) and “The Scale of Success Motivation” developed by Willis (1982) were used as data collection tools. For the evaluaton of the obtained data, frequency analysis as statistical method, Spearman Correlation Analysis, Man Whitney U-Test to compare the two different groups, and Kruskal Wallis H- Test to compare more than two groups were used. As the result of the study,it has been found that there is a positive significiant relation between folk dancers’ training and educational behaviour perception, and their democratic behaviour perception, social support behaviour perception, positive feedback behaviour perception and success motivation; that there is a positive significiant relation between folk dancers’ democratic behaviour perception, and their social support behavior perception and positive feedback behavior perception; that there is a positive significiant relation between folk dancers’ autocratical behaviour perception, and their social support behaviour perception; that there is a positive significiant relation between folk dancers’ social support behaviour perception, and their positive feedback behaviour perception ; and finally that there is a positive significiant relation between folk dancers’ positive feedback behaviour perception,and their success motivation. Besides, a significiant difference was found in folk dancers’ trainer leadership behaviour perception according to the variables of sex and university. Morever, there is no statistically significiant difference in folk dancers’ success motivation levels according to the variables of sex, but a statistically significiant difference was found in success motivation levels according to the variables of university.
