Politik eleştiri Marksist kurama ait temel kavramları kullanan, bu kavramları birbiri ile ilişki içinde ve bütünlükçü biçimde ele alan bir film eleştiri yöntemidir. Bir filmi, ‘yönetmenin egemen üretim ilişkileri içindeki yeri, sınıfsal koşulları ve ideolojisi’, ‘filmin üretildiği üretim koşulları ve üretim biçimi’, ‘filmin öyküsünde ve karakterlerinde tipiklik ve bütünlük’, ‘filmin ele aldığı öyküyü işleme biçimi ve biçimde özgünlük’ ve ‘filmin politik bağlamı ve bu bağlamın eleştirisi’ gibi birbirini izleyen ölçütler kullanarak oluşturulan bir yöntem ile değerlendirir. Bu makalede, tipik durum örneği olacağı düşünülerek, Nuri Bilge Ceylan’ın 67. Cannes Film Festivali’nde Altın Palmiye kazanan ‘Kış Uykusu (2014) filminin belirtilen yöntem çerçevesinde politik eleştirisinin yapılması amaçlanmaktadır. Ayrıca bu filmin tarihsiz bir mekâna ait yaşantıların içsel bunalımlarını, yabancılaşmalarını ve kötülüğe meyilli, değişmez insan doğasını konu ettiği; bunu yaparken de Türkiye’deki kent-köy ve aydın-köylü ayrımını bir arka plan olarak kullanılarak sözü edilen temel varoluşun iç yüzünü göstermeye çalıştığı iddia edilmektedir.
Political criticism is a film criticism method that uses the basic concepts of the Marxist theory, which deals with these concepts in a relationship and in a holistic way. A film is evaluated by a method created by using the follow-up criteria such as ‘the place of the director in the dominant production relationships, class conditions and ideology’, ‘the production conditions and the way the film is produced’, ‘typicity and integrity in the story and characters of the film’, ‘the way the film is dealt with and originality in the form’ and ‘the political context of the film and the criticism of this context’. In this article, considering that it will be a typical example of the situation, Nuri Bilge Ceylan's 67. The Cannes Film Festival's Golden Palm award-winning film 'Winter Sleep' (2014) is aimed at making political criticism in the framework of the method specified. It is also claimed that this film is about the inner disturbances of life belonging to an unhistoric place, its outsourcing and the unchanging human nature tending to evil; while doing this, it is also claimed that it tries to show the inner face of the main existence using the city-city and light-city distinction in Turkey as a background.
Political criticism is a film criticism methoth that uses basic concepts which belong to Marksist theory, evaluating these concepts in relation to each others and in an integrative manner. It evaluates a film with the methoth making up by using criterions which are successive like ‘the place of director in dominant production relations, ideology and social class conditions of director’, ‘production conditions and manufacturing type in which film is made’, ‘typicality and integrality in the story and characters of film’, ‘processing way of the story which film approachs and originality in the style’ and ‘the political context of film and the criticism of the context’. In this article, it is aimed to political criticise of Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s film ‘Winter Sleep’ which won Golden Palm in 67th Cannes Film Festival by being given that it would be typical case within the framework of the specified method. Moreover, it is claimed that this film is about the inner depressions of the lives of a historyless place, their alienation, evil-minded and unchangeable human nature, when doing so, that it tried to show the inner face of the fundemantal exixtance which mentioned by using the distinction between city-village and intellectual-peasant in Turkey as a background.
