It is possible to see the traces of pre-Islamic Turkish beliefs in many stages of Turkish culture. In the traditional practices in which the necessity man has encountered and in which it is in this process from the moment of birth to death, we can see the traces of these beliefs in our presence if necessary. Today, we know that many of these beliefs are being lived with the belief of Islam. We can see that the religious faith that plays an important role in the foundation of these beliefs is also faced in the scientists. While the scientists are one of the rich treasures of Turkish culture, they show how the Turkish people think of events, objects and nature, and reflect the traces of past beliefs. Therefore, it is natural for mankind to talk about a cultural accumulation in the sciences he has been translating from language to language for centuries. Some researchers on the origin of the sciences have made various opinions from the past to the present. Those who claim that the scientists are of mythological origin believe that in the early days man used the scientists as a secret language, and that the scientists appeared in this way. While this study is carried out, a trace on it has been traced since it is believed that this thesis could contribute with action and on the basis of pre-Islamic Turkish beliefs has been found the details of the existence of cult faith in the Çukurova knowledge. According to this study, talking about the relationship of the scientists with the mythology, the knowledge-cultural relationship in ancient Turkish beliefs will be assessed, the existence of heaven-God, water, fire, mountain and tree cults in the scientists of Çukurova will be attempted to identify.

It is possible to witness Pre-Islamic Turkish belief traces in several phases of Turkish culture. We have observed traces of these beliefs both in the period when people are born and dead and in current traditional practices of people and our verbal existence. Nowadays, we are aware of the fact that these beliefs have been intertwined with Islamic belief and experienced from several studies conducted in this field. Playing an influential role in foundation of these beliefs, cult beliefs appear in riddles. Riddles are one of the rich treasures of Turkish culture and demonstrate how Turkish people think against incidents, objects and nature and reflect past belief traces. As a consequence, it is quite probable to refer to cultural heritages in riddles that humankind has conveyed for ages and brought to our time where language and culture are intertwined and reflect one another. Some researchers have suggested a variety of opinions from past to present in regard to origin of riddles. Of these researches, those advocating that riddles are of mythological origin contemplate that people used riddles at first as a secret language and riddles emerged in this way. While conducting this study, we have attempted to pursue a trace we have contemplated that this thesis will contribute to this and we have encountered interest details in relation to existence of cult belief in foundation of Pre-Islamic Turkish beliefs in Çukurova riddles. Accordingly, by mentioning relationship of riddles with mythology in this study, it will be endeavoured to identify existence of cult beliefs such as Sky-God, Water, Fire, Mountain and Tree covering ancient Turkish beliefs in this context in Çukurova riddles.
