Enerjide büyük oranda dışa bağımlı olan ülkemizde enerjiye olan talebin artması son yıllarda bu anlamda alternatif çözüm yollarının ve ülke potansiyelinin tespitine öncellik verilmesini hızlandırmıştır. Fosil kaynaklar açısından çok zengin olmayan ülkemizde yenilenebilir enerjinin önemi gittikçe artmakta ve bu anlamda da projeler ve çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Yenilenebilir ve yerli kaynaklara dayalı üretim tespiti ve bunun gerçekleştirilmesinin sağlanması giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmamızda da yenilenebilir enerji kaynakları arasında bulunan ve bu anlamda da önemli bir kaynak olan biyogaz enerjisinin Doğu Anadolu Bölge potansiyeli incelenmiş, iller bazında biyogaz potansiyeli tespit edilmiştir. Hesaplanan biyogaz potansiyelinin elektrik ve doğalgaz cinsinden karşılığı da belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

In recent years, the increase in demand for energy in our country, heavily outsider dependent on energies accelerated the importance of prioritizing the determination of alternative solutions and country’s potential regarding energy. The determination of production based on renewable and domestic resources and the realization of it are becoming increasingly important. Biogas energy, one of the renewable energy sources and an important source in this sense, has been examined in the Eastern Anatolian Region and its potential has been determined on the basis of provinces. It has also been tried to determine the electricity and natural gas equivalence of the calculated biogas potential.
