Abbasi döneminde devlet erkanı tarafından gözetilen şairlerle zirveye çıkan şiir sanatı uzun bir inziva döneminden sonra diriliş ya da kalkınma anlamına gelen “Nahda” hareketiyle canlanmış, neo-klasik olarak adlandırılan bu dönemde pek çok şair ve edip yetişmiştir. Raidu’ş-Şüera (Şairlerin Öncüsü) unvanıyla başı çeken Mahmûd Sâmî Bârûdî birlikte Ahmet Şevkî ve Hâfız İbrâhîm bu alanda öne çıkan üç isimdir. Onlar, Abbasi şairlerini taklit ederek şiirlerini söz sanatlarını kullanarak yazmışlar, ancak eski ile yeniyi şiirlerinde buluşturabildiklerinden taklitçi değil yenilikçi olarak kabul edilmişlerdir. Söz konusu çalışma karşılaştırma metoduyla üç şairin benzer ve farklı yönlerini ön plana çıkararak kalıcı öğrenme kazandırmayı hedeflemektedir. Yaşam öyküleri ve yaşadıkları dönem hakkında bilginin de yer aldığı çalışmada araştırmacının üç şairi bir bütün olarak değerlendirmesi hedeflenmektedir.

The study, which includes information about life stories and the period they live, aims to evaluate the three poets as a whole.
During the Abbasid period, the art of poetry, which peaked with poets observed by the state officials, was revived by “the Nahdamovement”, which means resurrection or development after a long period of retreat, and many poets have grew up in this period called neo-classical. Mahmud Sâmî Bârûdî, together with Ahmet Shawki and Hâfız İbrâhîm, are the leading names in this field. They imitated the Abbasid poets and wrote their poems by using rhetoric, but since they could bring the old and the new together in their poems, they were accepted as innovators, not imitators. This study aims to provide permanent learning by highlighting similar and different aspects of the three poets by comparison method. In this study, which includes information about life stories and the period in which they live, the researcher aims to evaluate three poets as a whole.
