Tüm dünyada özellikle II. Dünya Savaşı sonrasında küreselleşmenin de itici gücüyle hızlı bir şekilde ülkeler arasında entegrasyon hareketleri gerçekleşmeye başlamıştır. Özellikle ekonomik ve siyasi bir görünüm kazanan entegrasyon girişimleri öncelikli olarak coğrafi açıdan birbirine yakın olan ülkeler arasındaki ilişkilerin yoğunlaşması ile başlamıştır. 1967 yılında kurulmasından günümüze Güneydoğu Asya Uluslar Birliği (ASEAN) dünyadaki en başarılı bölgesel entegrasyon örneklerinden biri olmuştur. ASEAN kurulduğu yıllarda çatışmaların durdurulması ve siyasi istikrarın gerçekleştirilmesi gibi konular ile uğraşırken, Soğuk Savaş sonrası dönemde bu konuların yerini ekonomik iş birliğinin gerçekleştirilmesi almıştır. Son yıllarda ekonomik güç ekseninin batıdan doğuya kayması ASEAN için de stratejik bir öneme sahiptir. Bu önemin bilincinde olan ASEAN ise bölgede başta Çin olmak üzere diğer ekonomik güçlere karşı bir savunma politikası izlemekte ve küresel uluslararası sistem içinde entegrasyonunu başarılı bir şekilde tamamlamış bir bütün olarak yer almak için gayret etmektedir. Bu çalışmada dünyada yükselen bir trende sahip Asya Pasifik bölgesinin önemli bir entegrasyonu olan ASEAN genel hatları ile incelenecektir.
In the world, especially 2. After the World War, with the driving force of globalization, integration movements between countries began to occur rapidly. In particular, economic and political integration initiatives began with the concentration of relations between countries that are geographically close. Since its establishment in 1967, the Southeast Asian Union (ASEAN) has become one of the most successful regional integration examples in the world. As ASEAN deals with issues such as the stop of conflicts and the realization of political stability in the years of its establishment, these issues have been replaced by the implementation of economic cooperation in the post-Cold War period. The shift of the economic power axis from the west to the east in recent years has also been of strategic importance for ASEAN. The ASEAN, aware of this importance, is pursuing a defense policy against other economic powers in the region, mainly China, and strives to be a whole that has successfully completed its integration into the global international system. This study will be examined by the ASEAN general lines, which is an important integration of the Asia Pacific region with a worldwide rise train.

In recent years, the shift of the economic power axis from west to east has also a strategic importance for ASEAN. Aware of this importance, ASEAN pursues a defense policy against other economic forces, particularly China, in the region and strives to take part in a globally integrated system that has successfully completed its integration. In this study, ASEAN which is an important integration of Asia Pacific region which has a rising trend in the world will be examined in general terms.
