Abstract:

In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale in order to determine the attitudes of students of physical education and sports college towards gymnastics course.The study explains the development process of a scale assessing the attitudes of university students towards gymnastics course. The investigation was started after receiving written views of 43 students who had been receiving education in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, College of Physical Education and Sports who had taken the course of “Basic Gymnastics”.After the views had been investigated, a 32 statements items pool was created for the scale.A Likert-type scale form was prepared in order to carry out 25 of 32 statements for sample group by selecting them attentially by the researcher in the direction of expert views in accordance with the purpose of the study.This form was carried out for 367 university students (220 of them were (%59.94) boys, 147of them (%40.06) were girls) ranging from 17-26 year-olds, who had
