Tekstil endüstrisinde 60’lı yıllarda ortaya çıkan ve hızla gelişen, teknik tekstil sektörü ülkemizde de son yıllarda kendini göstermektedir. Bu alanda Türkiye’de; non-woven kumaşlar, big-bag olarak adlandırılan sentetik çuvallar ve otomobillerde kullanılan teknik kumaşlar üretimi yapılan en temel ürünlerdir. Bu çalışmada, teknik tekstiller hakkında genel bilgiler verildikten sonra, sınıflandırmaları ve dünya genelindeki ekonomik büyüklüğünden bahsedilmiştir. Ayrıca ülkemizdeki piyasa yapısı ve rekabet durumu değerlendirilmiştir. Rekabet düzeyi Yoğunlaşma Endeksi(Concenration Rate) ile analiz edilmiştir. Yoğunlaşma endeksi, yoğunlaşma ölçütleri arasında basit hesaplanabilmesi nedeniyle en yaygın kullanılan ölçüttür. Yoğunlaşma oranı, belli sayıdaki firma, madde, fasıl veya ülkenin kümülatif paylarını ifade eder. Gaziantep’te teknik tekstiller sektöründe non-woven alanında faaliyet gösteren firmaların Firma Yoğunlaşma Oranı CR4 için, %40’ın üzerindedir. Bu sebeple piyasanın oligopolistik

Technical textile sector shows itself in the last year which emerged in the 60's and rapidly growing in our country. In this field in Turkey; nonwowen fabrics, syntetic sacks so called big-bag and technical fabrics used in automabiles are major products made production. In this study firstly, the conceptions of technical textile have been explained,later dwelled on classification of technical textiles. In addition it has been assessed for our country about market structure and competitive situation. Level of competition concentration indexs were analyzed with concentration rate.
