Abstract:

Barış ve savaş kavramları, insanlığın varoluşundan bu yana insanların hayatında hep var olagelmiştir. Türk Dil Kurumu ‘barış’ı, uyum, karşılıklı anlayış ve hoşgörü ile oluşturulan ortam, şeklinde tanımlarken, “savaşı” da uğraşma, kavga, mücadele olarak tanımlamıştır. Savaş ülkeler, milletler hatta küçük topluluklar arasında çok sık ve yaygın bir şekilde gerçekleşirken, barış ortamını hazırlamak ve sürdürülebilir kılmak bu kadar kolay olmamaktadır. İnsanın doğasında var olan bu durumu, en aza indirmenin yolu da barış değerini yeni kuşaklara kazandırmaktır. Eğitimde kalıcı değerler kazandırmak erken yaşlarda başlanmalı ve süreklilik arz etmelidir. Bu eğitimin verilmesinde ilkokul en büyük temeli oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ilkokul 2. ve 3. Sınıflarda okutulan Türkçe ve Hayat Bilgisi 4. Sınıflarda okutulan Türkçe, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi ders kitaplarındaki yazınsal metinlerde barış ve barışla ilgili değerlere ne düzeyde yer verildiğini ortaya koyarak karşılaş

Abstract:

Peace and war concepts has existed in human life from past to present. Turkish Language Society defines the “peace” as an environment which is organized with conformity, mutual understanding and tolerance, whereas it defines the “war” as quarrel, fight and struggle. It is not easy to maintain and keep a peaceful environment although war is very common and widespread between countries, nations and even small societies. The peace value should be transferred to new generations so that this reality existing in human nature can be minimized. Transferring the permanent and lasting values must start at early stages and be continuous in education. Primary school is the most important basis for such an education. This study is a qualitative survey which aims at presenting and comparing to what extent the peace and peace related values are given in the written texts of Turkish and Social Sciences coursebooks for 2nd and 3rd grades and Turkish, Social Studies and Religion and Morality course
