Dil, lehçe, şive, farklı fonksiyon alanlarında kullanılan bağımsız sistemlerdir. Dil çeşitliliğinin sınırlanması geri dönüşümsüz ve objektif bir süreçtir. Kaybolma tehlikesi altındaki diller hakkında daha çok etnik, dilsel ve kültürel araştırmalar üzerinde çalışmak ve gelecek nesiller için bunları belgelemek dilbilimcilerinin esas meselelerinden biridir. Sosyal hayat şartlarının değişiklikleri lehçe ve şivelerin âkıbetini belirtmektedir. Dillerin sözcük yapısının sönmesi probleminin arasında farklı dillerin ve edebiyat dillerinin şivelerinin karışıkılığı da yer almaktadır. Dil ve kültür zengin bir semantik saha yaratmaktadır. Zengin tarihi tecrübesine sahip olan ağızlar parlak bir şekilde yer almaktadır. Ötemiş köyü, şüphesiz, Kumuk Edebiyat Diline ve diğer Kumuk ağızlarına göre daha zengin ve eskidir. Language, speech, shive, are independent systems used in different fields of function. The limitation of language diversity is an irreversible and objective process. More on ethnic, linguistic and cultural research on languages at risk of disappearance and documenting them for future generations is one of the core issues of linguists. Changes in social life conditions indicate the length of the leaves and shives. The problem of the extinction of the word structure of the languages is also the confusion of different languages and literary languages. Language and culture create a rich semantic field. The mouths with rich historical experience are brightly placed. The old village, without a doubt, is richer and older than the Kumuk Literary Language and other Kumuk mouths. From the oldest villages in Dağıstan, the Kumuk Turks living in the Ötemiş village, which was at times the capital of the Ötemiş Sultanate, has a five thousand-year history. The Five

In this regard the main task of linguists is to work on ethnic, cultural and language research and to document them for future generations. Changes in social conditions of life are sure to specify the state of dialects. Original lexical minimum is no longer in use due to the shift of dialects or influence of other languages. Otemish- 5000-year-old village-is used to be the capital of Otemish Sultanate. Inhabitants of Otemish which are known for the fearless fight against Nader Shah and Peter the Great are the speakers of the most ancient dialect of Kumyk language. Turkic words are the basis of this dialect.
