Günümüz sanatı, siyasetin içerisinde var olan sorunsallardan kendini ayıramayacak kadar onlarla hemhal olmuş durumdadır. Sanatın siyaset ile ilişkisi kamu sorunlarını yansıtma biçimini bünyesinde barındıran varoluşsal bir önemi sahiptir. Dada ile birlikte başlayan ve 1960’lardan itibaren günümüze kadar devam eden sanatın, siyaset ve politika ile bağı kamu alanlarında ve serbest alanlarda gerçekleştirilen sanat pratikleri yardımıyla ‘’sanat ve gündelik yaşamı’’ birlikte işleyen muhalif sanat portalleri, sanatın görsel eleştiri aksanının oluşmasına sebebiyet vermiştir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, protest sanat bağlamında gelişen olgularla birlikte, Türkiye sanat mecrasında protest sanatın etkilerini Halil Altındere izleği üzerinden incelemektir. Araştırma betimsel yolla yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, değişen kültürel, toplumsal ve siyasal sorunların sanat mecrasını etkilediği ve bu sorunsalların sanatçıları politikleştirdiği söylenebilir. Protest sanatı kendine aracı edinen sanatçılar, ezbere bilinen kuralları ve değerleri sorgulamış, protest eylemlerinin birincil amaçları olmuştur. Bu sorunsalları kendine dert edinen sanatçı Halil Altındere, ulus-devlet ikilemini sorgulamış, günlük hayattan basit nesnelerin anlamını değiştirmiş, ulusal temsil sembolleri ve kültür bozumu üzerine de durmuştur.

Halil Altındere has been occupied with the politics issues in his art that questioned the dilemma by changing the meaning of national symbols and has addressed culture represents on simple object from everyday life of nation-State.
