Ek-sözcük birleşmelerinde eklerin kendi aslî görevleri dışında kullanılarak eklendiği sözcük ile yeni bir anlam oluşturacak tarzda birleşip kaynaşmasına kalıplaşma denir. Zarf-fiiller kalıplaşma yoluyla yeni kelime türetmeye sıfat-fiil ve isim-fiil kadar elverişli değildir. Buna rağmen kalıplaşarak yeni anlam ve işlevde zarflar oluşturdukları da olur. Bu çalışmada, 14. yüzyıldan itibaren Eski Anadolu Türkçesinde görülmeye başlayan, 15. yüzyıldan itibaren de oldukça işlekleşen {–(y)ArAk} zarf-fiil eki ve bu ekten doğup zaman içinde kalıplaşan “giderek” kelimesinin tarihî süreçteki gelişimi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı “giderek” zarf-fiilinin görülmeye başladığı ilk metinlerden bugüne kadarki süre içinde “git-” fiilinin gerçek anlamını yitirip {-(y)ArAk} zarf-fiil eki ile ne zaman kalıplaşma sürecine girdiği ve hangi yapılarla birlikte kullanıldığını tespit etmektir. Bu amaçla Eski Anadolu Türkçesi, Klasik Osmanlı Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesi dönemi eserleri taranarak “giderek” zarf-fiilinin işlevleri ve cümledeki yerleri belirlenmiş, hangi işlevin hangi dönemde ortaya çıktığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda “giderek” kelimesinin 14. yüzyıldan itibaren hem kendi anlamında hem de kalıplaşmış anlamlarıyla kullanıldığı görülmüştür. Eski Anadolu Türkçesi ve Klasik Osmanlı Türkçesinde “sonunda, nihayetinde” işleviyle kalıplaşırken, günümüzde “artarak devam eden süreklilik” işleviyle kalıplaşmıştır. Eski Anadolu ve Klasik Osmanlı Türkçesindeki kalıplaşmaları günümüzde az da olsa kullanılmaktadır. Günümüz Türkiye Türkçesinde “giderek” zarfının en sık kullanılan işlevi “artarak devam eden süreklilik” işlevidir.
Additional word combinations are referred to as modeling the combination with the word that adds in addition to their original tasks and is used in a way that will create a new meaning. Cover-files are not as convenient to extract new words through modeling as number-fiil and name-fiil. However, it will also be possible to form new forms and new functions. In this study, the development in the historical process of the old Anadolu Turkish begins to be seen from the 14th century, and from the 15th century, the cover-file attachment and the word "growing" that was born and formed in time. The purpose of the study is to identify when the first texts in which the "greater and greater" cover-file begins to be seen, in the period until now, the real meaning of the "git-" file is lost and when the cover-file attachment enters the modeling process and with which structures it is used. For this purpose, by scanning the works of the Ancient Anadolu Turkish, Classic Ottoman Turkish and Turkish Turkish period, the functions and places in the phrase have been determined, which function has been determined in which period. As a result of this study, it has been seen that the word "greater" has been used since the 14th century both in its own meaning and in its shaped meanings. In ancient Anadolu Turkish and Classical Ottoman Turkish, it has been shaped with the function of "in the end, in the end", but today it has been shaped with the function of "continuous continuity". The patterns of the ancient Anadolu and the classical Ottoman Turkish are used very little today. In today's Turkish, the most commonly used function of the "going" cover is the "going continuity" function.
When a suffix and a word combines and the suffix is used in a different function than its main function making a new meaning, it is called “kalıplaşma (patterned)”. Gerunds are not suitable for derivating new words through “kalıplaşma (patterned)” as deverbal nouns and participles are. However, they do make adverbs with new meanings and functions through “kalıplaşma”. In this study, the gerund suffix {–(y)ArAk}, which was started to be seen in the Old Anatolian Turkish from the 14th century on and became common especially after the 15th century, and “giderek”, emerging from this suffix and became a standard has been investigated diachronically. The aim the study is to determine when the gerund “giderek” lost its literal meaning, made a new word combining with the suffix {–(y)ArAk}, and used with which stuructures through the texts from the first times. To this end, the works from the Old Antolian Turkish, Classical Ottoman Turkish and contemporary Turkish have been investigated, the functions and positions of “giderek” in the sentences have been established. We have, through this study, tried to determine the starting periods of the functions. At the end, it was seen that the word “giderek” was used in the 14th century both with its literal meaning and with the new meaning. While it got the meaning of “at last, finally” during the Old Anatolian Turkish and Classical Ottoman Turkish, today it gives the meaning of “ continuity which is increasingly going on”. The way it was used during the Old Anatolia Turkish and Classical Ottoman Turkish is still, though not very commonly, used. In contemporary Turkish, the commonest function of “giderek” is the meaning of “continuity which is increasingly going on”.
