Bu çalışmada, müzik öğretmenliği programı özel yetenek sınavına giren adayların bilişsel esneklik düzeyleri ile sınav başarısı arasındaki ilişkilerin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bireylerin müziğin çeşitli alt boyutlarında yapılan yetenek sınavlarındaki başarı düzeylerinin ve bilişsel esnekliklerinin ne düzeyde olduğunun tespit edilmesinin önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca bireylerin problemler hakkında çözüm yollarının farkında olmasının, alternatif arayışlar içerisine girebilmelerinin ve bu durumları kontrol edebilme beceri düzeylerinin, diğer bir anlatımla bilişsel esnekliklerinin nasıl olduğunun araştırılmasının önemli bir konu olduğu düşünülmektedir. İlişkisel tarama modelinde olan bu araştırmanın çalışma gurubunu 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılı İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Müzik Öğretmenliği Programı Özel Yetenek Sınavları’na katılan adaylar (N=449) oluşturmaktadır. Adaylara Bilişsel Esneklik Envanteri uygulanmıştır. Sınav başarısına ve yerleştirmeye esas olan puan türlerine ise İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi veri tabanından ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 17.0 paket programına işlenerek analiz işlemleri bu program aracılığı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Normallik durumunun belirlenmesi için normal dağılım eğrilerine, çarpıklık-basıklık katsayılarına ve Kolmogorov-Smirnov testi sonuçlarına bakılmıştır. İlişkisel analizlerin yapılması için; Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon katsayısı, bağımsız gruplar t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) yapılmıştır. Etki büyüklüğü düzeylerinin belirlenmesi için Cohen’s d ve r formülleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, adayların bilişsel esneklik düzeylerinin yüksek düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. bilişsel esneklik puanları ile sınav başarısı arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu, bilişsel esneklik düzeyi yüksek olan öğrencilerin daha başarılı oldukları bulunmuştur.
In this study, the music teaching program aims to explore the relationship between the levels of cognitive flexibility of candidates entering the special skill exam and the exam success. It is believed that it is important for individuals to identify the levels of success and the level of cognitive flexibility in the skill tests performed in the various subdimensions of music. It is also considered to be an important subject for individuals to be aware of the ways to solve problems, to be able to enter alternative searches and to study how their levels of ability to control these situations, in other words, how their cognitive flexibility is. The work group of this research, which is in the relational scan model, is formed by the candidates who participate in the Special Skills Examination (N=449) in the 2013-2014 educational year of the University of Inönü School of Education Music Teaching Program. The candidates have been given an informational flexibility inventory. The exam success and the scores that are based on the placement are obtained from the data base of the University of Inönü Education. The data obtained is processed in the SPSS 17.0 package program and the analysis processes are carried out through this program. For the determination of the normality state, the normal distribution curves, the fraction-pressure ratio and the results of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were looked at. For the performance of relational analyses; Pearson Moments Collapse Correlation Factor, independent groups t-test and one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) were performed. Cohen's d and r formulas have been applied to determine the levels of effect size. The research has found that candidates have a high level of cognitive flexibility. It has been found that students with a high level of cognitive flexibility, with a meaningful relationship between cognitive flexibility scores and exam success, are more successful.
