Orijinallik ve yaratıcılık çağdaş moda ürünlerinin başarısının arkasındaki etkenlerdendir. Her insanın içinde biraz bulunduğuna inanılan yaratıcılık tek başına yaratıcı ürünler tasarlamak için yeterli değildir. Bu yüzden tasarımcılar tasarlama aşamasından önce yaratıcılıklarını körükleyecek bir esine ve kapsamlı bir araştırmaya ihtiyaç duyarlar. Tasarlama süresince tasarımcı farklı kanallar aracılığıyla hayal gücünü besler ve bu beslenme sürecinin sonunda hayal gücünün soyut fikirleri somut birer ürüne dönüşür. Hayal gücünün ve yaratıcılığın beslenmesi esin kaynağının iyi bir şekilde analiz edilip kapsamlı bir araştırmadan geçirilmesiyle elde edilebilir. Bahsi geçen esin, tasarımcının etrafında gördüğü bir nesneyle etkileşimden doğabileceği gibi, soyut kavramlar, tarihsel olaylar, kültürel ve geleneksel alışkanlıklar, yaşam şartları gibi faktörlerle etkileşiminden de doğabilir. Bu yüzden esinlenmeyi sınırlandırmak neredeyse imkânsızdır. Esin kaynağının orijinal olmasının yanı sıra diğer bir önemli husus esinin güncel eğilimlere ve tüketici beklentilerine uyumlu olacak şekilde yorumlanmasıdır. Çünkü her endüstri ürününde olduğu gibi giysi tasarımında da üretilebilirlik, satılabilirlik, kullanılabilirlik ve müşteri beğenileri önemli bir ölçüttür. Bu da birincisi yaratıcılığı arttırmak adına giysinin hazırlandığı hedef kitleye yönelik, ikincisi de belirlenen esin kaynağına yönelik kapsamlı bir araştırma gerektirmektedir. Bütün bunların yanı sıra elde edilen verilerin estetik bir süzgeçten geçirilerek yorumlanması önemli bir konudur. Bu estetik süzgeç esin kaynağının tasarım esasları ve prensiplerinden hareketle giysiye aktarılması olarak temellendirilebilir.

Originalism and creativity are among the factors behind the success of contemporary fashion products. Creativity that is believed to be a little inside every person is not enough to design creative products alone. That’s why designers need an insight and comprehensive research to curve their creativity before the design phase. During the design period, the designer feeds imagination through different channels, and at the end of this nutrition process, the abstract ideas of imagination are transformed into a concrete product. The nutrition of imagination and creativity can be achieved by the source of inspiration being well analyzed and carried out by a comprehensive research. As the aforementioned inspiration can arise from interaction with an object that the designer sees around, it can also arise from interaction with factors such as abstract concepts, historical events, cultural and traditional habits, living conditions. Therefore, limiting the inspiration is almost impossible. In addition to the original source, another important aspect is the interpretation of the source in a way that will be in accordance with current trends and consumer expectations. Because, as in every industry product, in clothing design, productivity, availability, and customer likes are an important measure. This also requires a comprehensive research towards the target audience in order to increase creativity, and the second is the determined source of inspiration. In addition to all of this, it is important to interpret the data obtained through an aesthetic coverage. This aesthetic flush can be founded as the moving transfer of the source of inspiration from the design principles and principles to clothes.

That’s why designers need an inspiration and a deep research which is going to increase their creativity before design process. During this design process designers feed their imagination via different channels and at the end of this process, abstract ideas of imagination turns into concrete products. Feeding imagination and creativity can be achieved by analyzing and researching the source of inspiration. Mentioned inspiration can arise from the interaction between designers and their surrounding items, and also from abstract concepts, historical events, cultural and traditional habits, and living conditions. That’s why, it is nearly impossible to limit these inspiration. In addition to originality of the source of inspiration the other important thing is the interpretation of inspiration according to expectations of consumers and contemporary trends. Because, like all industrial products, reproducibility, salability, usability and consumer demand are important criteria for fashion design products. And it requires comprehensive research firstly, according to target consumer and contemporary trends, secondly according to source of inspiration which is stated to increase creativity. Besides it is also important topic to interpret these data in terms of an aesthetic filter. This aesthetic filter can be based on the interpretation of inspiration through the use of design basics and principles.
