Çalışmanın amacı; yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen başlangıç seviyesi öğrencilerinin yazım hatalarının neler olduğunun tespit edilmesidir. Çalışmanın evrenini Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi TÖMER’de yabancı dil olarak Türkçe kursu alan Belaruslu öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Nitel bir araştırma olarak tasarlanan araştırmanın deseni durum çalışmasıdır. Durum çalışmasının en temel özelliği bir ya da birkaç durumun derinliğine araştırılmasıdır (Yıldırım ve Şimşek 2011). Veri toplamak için izlenen yol şu şekildedir: Üniversitenin düzenlemiş olduğu yaz kursunda bir ay boyunca temel seviye Türkçe dersi alan öğrencilerin her birisi için ayrı bir dosya tutulmuştur. Her ünite sonunda o ünitede öğrenmiş oldukları konu ile ilgili yazım çalışması yapan öğrencilerin yazım hataları analiz edildikten sonra öğrencilerle paylaşılmış, kendilerine çalışmaların fotokopileri verilirken orijinalleri dosyalarında saklanmıştır. Öğrenci dosyalarına, kurs sonu sınavlarında yazmış oldukları kompozisyonlar da eklenmiş ve her bir öğrencinin kompozisyonları da incelenerek çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. 4. hafta sonunda ise her bir öğrenci için her birisi ortalama 100’er sözcükten oluşan 5’er adet yazım çalışması ile yine her bir öğrencinin en az 250’şer sözcükten oluşan kurs sonu kompozisyon kâğıdını içeren öğrenci dosyaları oluşturulmuştur. Veriler analiz edilirken; harf ve noktalama yanlışları, sözcük yanlışları ve ek yazımı yanlışları olmak üzere 3 gruba ayrılmıştır. Yapılan yanlışlar tablolaştırılırken, yanlış yazılan sözcüklerin doğru yazımları ve katılımcıların hangilerinin söz konusu yanlışları yaptıkları tabloda ayrıca verilmiştir.

The aim of the study is to determine of the spelling errors of beginner level Turkish learning students. Universe of the study is students from Belarus who learn Turkish as a foreing language at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart Universty Tomer. The reaserch desing of study is a case study. The main feature of case study is that to investigate of one or more case in depth (Yıldırım ve Şimşek 2011). The way to collect date as follows: A file created for each students who learn Turkish as second language at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart Universty Tomer for one month.
