Son yıllarda gelişmiş ekonomilerin bir durgunluk sürecine girmesine karşın küresel düzeyde bazı bölgelerin hızlı ekonomik gelişme göstermesi ekonomik büyüme kuramlarının yeniden ele alınmasına neden olmuştur. Bunun sonucunda hem ekonomik büyüme kuramları hem bölgesel gelişmenin birlikte ele alındığı çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ekonomik büyüme kuramları ışığında bölgesel gelişmeyi etkileyen faktörler üzerinde durulmaktadır.  Çalışma sonucuna göre bölgesel gelişmede etkili olan faktörlerin beşeri sermaye, inovasyon, kamu alt yapı yatırımları, sanayi üretimi, teknoloji olduğu görülmektedir.

Despite the stagnation of developed economies in recent years, the rapid economic development of some regions at a global level has led to the re-debate of economic growth theories. As a result, both theory of economic growth and regional development are discussed together. This study focuses on the factors affecting regional development in the light of economic growth theories. According to the study, the factors that influence regional development are human capital, innovation, public infrastructure investments, industrial production, technology.

Altough the development economies have entered a recession in recent years, the rapid economic development of some regions at the global level has led to the revision of economic growth theories. As a result, both economic growth theories and regioanl development are studied together. This study focuses on regional factors affecting regional deveopment in the light of economic growth theories. According to the results of the study, the factors affecting regional development  are human capital, innovation, public infrastructure investments, industrial production and technology.
