GÖRSEL SANATLAR ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÖZEL EĞİTİM KAVRAMINA İLİŞKİN ALGILARININ METAFORLARLA İNCELENMESİ

Özel eğitim hepimizin bildiği en genel tanımı ile özel olarak yetiştirilmiş personeller ile onlara özel geliştirilmiş eğitim programları kullanılarak yaşıtlarına göre bireysel özellikleri ve eğitim yeterlilikleri olarak geride olan öğrencilere uygun ortamlarda verilen eğitim olarak ifade edilmektedir. Özel eğitim, bireylere başkalarına bağımlı olmadan yaşamalarını sağlayabilmeyi, hayatlarını kolaylaştırabilmeyi hedefler. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı resim-iş öğretmenliği son sınıfta eğitim gören görsel sanatlar öğretmen adaylarının özel eğitim kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları algıları metafor aracılığı ile ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Niğde Ömer Halis Demir Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Resim-iş Öğretmenliği Ana Bilim Dalı son sınıf öğrencisi 37 görsel sanatlar öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. 2018-2019 Eğitim öğretim yılı 1. Dönem boyunca (14 hafta) özel eğitim dersi alan görsel sanatlar öğretmen adayları ile 14 haftalık ders süreci tamamlandıktan sonra çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda öğrencilere diğer metafor çalışmalarında olduğu gibi ‘Özel eğitim…. gibidir, çünkü….’ şeklinde açık uçlu sorudan oluşan formlar dağıtılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden örnek durum değerlendirmesi modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada verilerinin analizinde içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada görsel sanatlar öğretmen adaylarından ‘özel eğitim’ kavramına ilişkin 37 öğretmen adayına ait 37 metafor olduğu görülmektedir. Bu 37 metafor da öğretmen adaylarının savunduğu gerekçeleri ile beraber 3 grup altında toplanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda görsel sanatlar öğretmen adaylarının ‘özel eğitim’ kavramını doğrudan ya da dolaylı olarak özel eğitim ile ilişkilendirebildikleri sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu da özel eğitimin aslında tek bir ifade şekli olmadığını, alanının oldukça geniş olduğunu, bu araştırma ile özel eğitimde ifade zenginliğinin yanı sıra kavram zenginliğinin olduğu da ortaya çıkmaktadır.

Special education is expressed as education given in the appropriate environments to students with the most general definition we all know with the special-trained staff and their special-developed educational programs using their age-based individual characteristics and educational qualifications. Special education aims to allow individuals to live without dependence on others, to make their lives easier. The main objective of this research is to reveal the perceptions that visual arts teachers candidates who are trained in the last class of painting-work teaching have about the concept of special education through the metafor. The study group of Niğde Ömer Halis Iron University Education Faculty of Painting-Business Teaching Main Science Department last class student 37 visual arts teacher candidates. 2018-2019 Education Year 1. During the period (14 weeks) special training courses were studied after the completion of the 14 week course with visual arts teachers candidates. In this scope, students are given special education as in other metaphor studies. It’s like, because...” The forms of open end questions are distributed. The study used a model of assessment of quality research methods. In the study, content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. The study found 37 metaphors of 37 teachers candidates for the concept of "special education" from the teachers candidates for visual arts. These 37 metaphors were also evaluated by gathering under 3 groups along with the reasons the teachers’ candidates defended. The study found that visual arts teachers candidates could directly or indirectly associate the concept of 'special education' with special education. This also reveals that private education is not actually a single form of expression, its scope is quite wide, and that this research has an expression wealth in private education as well as a concept wealth.

Special education, in its well-known definition, is the training of students, whose individual characteristics and educational qualifications are behind from their peers, by specially trained personnel in suitable environments using specially developed training programs. Special education aims to enable individuals to live without being dependent on others and to facilitate their lives. The main purpose of this study is to reveal the perceptions of the visual arts teacher candidates in the senior year of painting education through the metaphor. The study group of the research consists of 37 visual arts teacher candidates who are senior students of Niğde Ömer Halis Demir University, Faculty of Education, Department of Painting Education. The research was performed after the visual arts teacher candidates completed 14 weeks of special education course during the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. In this context, as in other metaphor studies, students are asked to fill in the forms that consists of open-ended questions such as ‘Special education is like ……….. , because ……….’. In this study, case study model, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. In the research, it was observed that there are 37 different metaphors related to the concept of ‘special education’ belonging to 37 teacher candidates among the students of visual arts teaching. These 37 metaphors were evaluated under three groups, together with the reasons the teacher candidates advocated. As a result of the research, it is revealed that visual arts teacher candidates can directly or indirectly associate the concept of special education with the meanings of special education and special education is not a single form of expression, its field is quite wide, and special education is not a single form of expression, but also a wealth of concepts as well as richness of expression.
