Sultan Vahideddin passed the Ottoman throne on 3 July 1918 and on 17 November 1922 he refused to the British, saying he had no life security. After this date, a new period has begun for the Ottoman State, which has come to a bad point in both the kingdom and history. Sultan Vahideddin witnessed the hardest days of the Ottoman State during his four-year sovereignty. Vahidettin's leaving the country has caused many discussions throughout the history. He was claimed to have escaped by his own will, kidnapped, or come to the game of the British. Some accused him of being patriot, and some accused him of betrayal. His sovereignty, his departure from the sovereignty, and his attitude against the resistance movement that took place in Anadolu, have been criticized by many. According to many researchers, the last Sultan of the Ottoman State, Sultan Vahideddin, left the throne and left the country, the six-century state’s history has also ended. Although he said he did not give up his sovereignty and heal, both his sovereignty and heal were discussed. The Muslims of the world are also involved in this debate. His reign has suffered many criticisms for his departure from the sultanate and his attitude towards the resistance movement in Anatolia.
