Felsefenin Sonu Mu Yeni Bir Adımı Mı? Badiou’nun Heidegger Eleştirisine Dair Bir Değerlendirme
2019
Journal:

Abstract:

Is the end of philosophy a new step? A review of Badiou's Heidegger criticism
2019

Abstract:

Although the end theme of philosophy was the leading Hegel, it was in contemporary philosophy defended by the movement of the different fundamentals by the analytical tradition, hermetic tradition and postmodern orientation. This study focuses on the late-term thought of Martin Heidegger, one of the strongest representatives of the closure claim, in order to question the claims of the closure of a whole existence and thought history that extends to Platon. Heidegger’s final theme of philosophy with his most general lines is that the world-wide rule of technology ends with philosophy and the possibilities of metaphysics are irreversibly exhausted. Although Heidegger's technologically-based questioning is subject to criticisms such as "notalgia disruption, an anti-modernist reaction", it has philosophical roots and foundations that cannot be reduced as simple as technofobia. Alain Badiou has captured this philosophical origin and has offered an ontological rejection to Heidegger’s technology-based closure thought and to suggest poetry and mysticism as a way of exit. His most fundamental criticism is that Heidegger was unable to analyze the founder discussion of the philosophy of the Platonic periodic from the right point. In the thought of truth and existence, the impossibility to understand that the poetic and metaphoric narrative is interrupted with mathematics has linked its outcome to the poetry, that is, the philosophy. Against the declaration of the end of philosophy, Badiou defended the motto "one step further" without the desire to return to any point, moving from the fact that we cannot leave the achievements of all philosophy history away. Based on Heidegger’s technology-based closing theme and Badiou’s new step motto, this study aims to a dialogical reading and discussion on the presence and up-to-date of philosophical thought. The rejection of the final theme of philosophy is of great importance in terms of preserving the autonomy and central position of the philosophical thought from the weight of contemporary historical/social trends.

Is It The End Of Philosophy or A New Step An Evaluation Regarding Badiou's Criticism Of Heidegger

Abstract:

Although Hegel is the pioneer of "the end of philosophy", it has been defended by different basics of analytical tradition, hermeneutics tradition and postmodern orientation in contemporary philosophy. In order to question the claims of the closure of an entire entity and the history of thought extending to Plato, this study focuses on the late thought of Martin Heidegger, one of the most powerful representatives of the closure claim. The most general lines; Heidegger's "end of philosophy" theme is worldwide sovereignty of the technique putting an end to philosophy and the exhaustion of the possibilities of metaphysics being irreversibly. Although Heidegger's technology-based inquiry, his obsession with nostalgia have been criticized for his anti-modernist reaction, as a technophobia, it has philosophical roots and basics which cannot be simplified. Alain Badiou captured this philosophical origin and put forth a rejection on the ontological dimension to Heidegger's idea of technology-based closure and proposal of poetry and mysticism as a way out. His most basic critique is that Heidegger was unable to analyze the founding discussion of the Platonic period of philosophy from an accurate point. He has linked the inability to understand the interruption of the poetic and metaphorical narrative with sorrow in thinking about truth and existence, the way out to poetry, that is to say pre-philosophy. Based on the fact that we cannot put aside the achievements of the whole history of philosophy in the face of the declaration of the end of philosophy, Badiou defended the motto of "one more step" without the desire to return to any point. In this study, it is aimed at dialogic reading and discussion of the existence and actuality of philosophical thought on the basis of Heidegger's technology-based closing theme and Badiou's objection to him with the motto of a new step. Rejecting the end of philosophy is of great importance not only in the sense of a wish for philosophy but also preserving the autonomy and central position of philosophical thought from the weight of contemporary historical/social tendencies.
