Abstract:

This study Kırbaç Hurricane of September 2018 from the date of the ethical issues that arise in the presentation to the agenda in Turkey aims to discuss the digital newspaper. The news published in digital newspapers in the said date range were accessed via the Google Search Engine by entering the words “Kırbaç Hurricane” and “Zorba Hurricane” and purpose sampling was used. The results show that digital newspapers, as a significant tool of awareness-raising, ignore important ethical implications of reporting events that will fundamentally affect public opinion. When we look at these ethical implications, it is noteworthy that there is a serious problem in terms of equipment such as reality, accuracy, consistency, speed and precision. These problems bring about a serious loss of trust and reputation for digital newspapers. The solution to these problems requires an ethical reclassification of the basic qualities that the news should have in terms of digital newspapers.
