Oyun, çocuğun yaşantısının doğal bir parçasıdır ve gelişimi için çok önemlidir. Çocuk oyun parkları çocukların oyun ihtiyaçlarının giderildiği, enerjilerini atarak rahatladıkları açık alanlardır. Çocuk oyun alanlarında yanlış yer seçimi, yanlış zemin malzemesi seçimi, oyun ekipmanlarının bakımının yapılmaması vb. hatalar, çocukların hayatını tehdit eden kazalara neden olabilmektedir. Çocukların hayatlarında önemli bir yeri olan oyun parkları, çocukları tehlike ve kazalardan korumak için güvenli bir şekilde tasarlanmalı, parklardaki materyallerin içeriğindeki malzemeler doğru seçilmeli, materyaller sağlam olmalıdır. Çocukların gelişimlerinin olumlu yönde desteklenmesi için oyun parklarına gereken önem verilmelidir. Bu nedenle Ankara ve Samsun ilindeki çocuk oyun parklarının güvenliğinin incelenmesi araştırmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın yürütülmesinde genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ankara ili Çankaya, Yenimahalle ve Gölbaşı ilçelerinde ve Samsun İlkadım ve Atakum ilçelerinde bulunan toplam 150 adet çocuk oyun parkı oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen kontrol listesi kullanılmıştır. Hazırlanan kontrol listesi 150 ayrı parka gidilerek gözlem yoluyla doldurulmuştur. Araştırmada parklardaki zemin türüne, oyun parklarının yapıldığı malzeme türüne, parklardaki kırık materyal sayısına, parkla ilgili genel kurallara, salıncak, kaydırak ve tahterevallilerin özelliklerine ilişkin bulgular incelenmiş ve tablolaştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda çocuk oyun parklarının çoğunluğunun incelenen özellikler açısından güvenli olduğu, ancak güvenlik kriterlerine uygun olmayan özellikte parkların da olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Özellikle oyun parkları açıldıktan sonra periyodik kontroller konusunda sıkıntı olduğu belirlenmiştir.
The game is a natural part of the child’s life and is very important for its development. Children’s playgrounds are open areas where children’s play needs are addressed and relaxed by throwing their energies. The wrong choice of the place in the children's playgrounds, the wrong choice of the ground material, the lack of maintenance of the game equipment, etc. The mistakes can cause accidents that threaten the lives of children. The playgrounds, which are an important place in the lives of children, should be designed safely to protect children from dangers and accidents, the materials in the materials in the parks should be properly selected, the materials should be solid. It is necessary to pay attention to the playgrounds to support the development of children in a positive direction. Therefore, the safety of the children’s play parks in Ankara and Samsun is the main objective of the research. In the study, a general scan model was used. The study’s work group consists of a total of 150 children’s playgrounds located in Ankara or Çankaya, Yenimahalle and Gölbaşı districts and Samsun İlkadım and Atakum districts. The control list developed by researchers was used as a data collection tool. The checklist was completed by 150 separate parks. In the study, the findings regarding the type of ground in parks, the type of material in which the game parks are made, the number of broken materials in parks, the general rules relating to the park, the characteristics of the discharge, sliding, and the treadmills were studied and tabled. The research found that most children’s playgrounds were safe in terms of the characteristics examined, but also parks with characteristics that do not meet the safety criteria. It has been determined that there are trouble with periodic checks especially after the opening of the game parks.
Playing games is a natural activity for children and crucial for their development. Playgrounds are places where children meet their play needs and discharge. Such mistakes as the selection of wrong location and floor material, and lack of maintenance of equipment can cause fatal accidents in playgrounds. Playgrounds, which have an important place in children's lives, must be designed in a safe way to protect children from hazards and accidents, and right materials must be used and they must be durable. Playgrounds must be given due importance in order to support the positive development of children. For this reason, the main aim of this study is to examine the safety of playgrounds in the cities of Ankara and Samsun. The general screening model was used in the study. The study sample consists of 150 children's playgrounds located in the districts of Çankaya, Yenimahalle and Gölbaşı of Ankara and the districts of İlkadım and Atakum of Samsun. Data were collected using a checklist developed by the researchers. The checklist was filled in by making observations in the playgrounds. Findings related to floor types, materials, number of broken materials, general rules about parks, swings, slides and seesaws were examined and tabulated. Results show that the majority of children's playgrounds are safe but that there are some that do not meet the safety criteria stated above. Results indicate that children's playgrounds are not checked periodically after they are put into service.
