Eşyalar yaşamlara dair izler taşır. Eşyanın üretildiği malzeme, üzerindeki süsleme kullanıcısının ekonomik durumunu yansıttığı gibi zevk ve sanat anlayışını gösterir. Hatta toplumsal ilişkileri, yaşam standardı hakkında bilgi verir. Kullanıldığı dönemin moda anlayışına ışık tutar. Zamanla zarar görseler, kullanılamayacak biçimde olsalar da Osmanlı’nın kişilerin ölümünden sonra tutmuş olduğu ayrıntılı tereke kayıtları bu eşyaların varlığından haberdar olmamızı sağlamaktadır. Maddi değerini tespit edebilmek için eşyanın detaylarına yer veren bu kayıtlar son derece önemlidir. Osman Ağa’nın terekesi İstanbul Müftülüğü, Şeriye Sicilleri, Kısmet-i Askeri Kassam defterinde bulunmaktadır. Prut seferindeki faaliyetlerinden ötürü önce başarılı bulunup taltif edilen Osman Ağa daha sonra suçlu bulunarak katledilmiştir. Bu nedenle malları Beytülmal’a kalmıştır. Osman Ağa Antalyalı’dır. Hazinedarlık’tan sonra Birun ve taşrada önemli görevlerde bulunmuştur. Bu özellikleri ile Osmanlı elitini temsil etmektedir. Yaşadığı dönem Osmanlı erken modern dönemin son zamanlarıdır. Osmanlı tarihi açısından bu dönem birçok yönden bir dönemin kapanışını, yeni bir dönemin tohumunun atıldığı zamandır. Toplumun alt kesimleri, sosyal yaşam açısından elit kısmı taklit etmiştir. Bu nedenle Osman Ağa’nın bir Osmanlı eliti olarak yaşamının ipuçlarını sunan terekesinin incelenmesi bu değişimin yakalanabileceği yerlerden biri gibi durmaktadır.
Things carry traces of life. The material in which the item is produced reflects the economic situation of the decorating user as well as the sense of pleasure and art. Even their social relationships provide information about the standard of life. It keeps the light of the fashion concept of the time it is used. If they are damaged over time, even if they are in a manner that cannot be used, the detailed recordings of removal that the Ottoman people have kept after their death make us aware of the existence of these objects. These records that contain the details of the item in order to identify the material value are extremely important. Osman Ağa's threshold is located in the Istanbul Muftiülüğü, Sheriye Registry, Kısmet-i Military Kassam. As a result of his activities in Prut, Osman Ağa, who was first found successful and talented, was later found guilty and murdered. The property is left to Beethoven. Osman is anthelian. After the Treasury, he had important tasks in Birun and the Taur. It represents the Ottoman elite. The time in which he lived is the last time of the early modern era. From the Ottoman history point of view, this period in many ways is the closure of a period, the time when the seed of a new period is thrown. The underparts of society have imitated the elite part in terms of social life. Therefore, the study of Osman Ağa as an Ottoman elite, which offers the clues of his life, seems to be one of the places where this change can be captured.
Belongings bear traces from lives. These traces are sought on the ornament on the material of the produced good. These reflect the economic situation of the user as well as present his/her sense of taste and art and even provide information about his/her social relations and life standard. It offers an insight into the sense of fashion for the period. Even the belongings get damaged in time and become out of use, the estate registrations kept by the Ottomans after the death of people makes us hear of such belongings. Such registrations are very important as they include the details of belongings in order to identify their material values. Estate of Osman Aga is available at Istanbul Office of Mufti, Sharriya Registrations, book of Kısmet-i Askeri Kassam. Osman Aga was honoured for his activities in Pruth war in the beginning; however, he was found guilty afterwards and murdered. Therefore, his wares were passed to the treasury. Osman Aga is from Antalya. After serving as a Treasurer, he has accomplished important duties in Birun and field. With his such characteristics, he represents the elite of the Ottoman. The period he has lived was the last times of the Ottoman's early modern age. In terms of Ottoman history, this period is a closure of one period in many aspects and a time frame which a new period's seeds were sown. Culturally deprived of the society has imitiated the elite population in terms of social life. Therefore, review of Osman Aga's estate that offers clues for an Ottoman elite before the tulip era seems one of the points where this change might be visible.
