Zur Konzeption eines Rahmenlehrplans für den Einsatz in den DaF- Vorbereitungsklassen in der Türkei

Türkiye’deki birçok üniversitede eğitim dili Almanca olan bölümlerin bulunması bu bağlamda öğrencilerin yabancı dil olarak Almanca eğitimi ile bu bölümlere hazırlanması ihtiyacını doğurmaktadır. Türkiye’de bu eğitim ağırlıklı olarak üniversitelerin Yabancı Diller Yüksekokullarında verilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın öncelikli hedefi Türkiye’deki üniversitelerin Almanca hazırlık sınıflarında kullanılabilecek bir çerçeve öğretim programı geliştirmek ve bu şekilde bu alanda görevli öğretim elemanlarına uygun öğrenme içerikleri ile işlenmesi gereken bir taslak sunmaktır. Bu bağlamda, önce Türkiye’deki tüm üniversitelerin Almanca hazırlık sınıfı bulunan bölümleri tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına bağlı olarak söz konusu bölümlerin Almanca hazırlık eğitimi bağlamındaki özel kabul koşulları incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar, Türkiye’deki üniversitelerin büyük bir bölümünün merkezi üniversite sınavında İngilizce, Almanca veya Fransızca dillerinden bir tanesini seçen öğrencileri bölümlerine kabul ettiğini ortaya koymuştur. Bu çerçeve öğretim programını geliştirmek amacıyla Almanca hazırlık sınıflarında yetkili öğretim elemanlarına yönelik bir anket uygulanmış bunun yanı sıra görüşmeler de yapılmıştır. Anket sorularının amacı üniversitelerin hazırlık sınıfının sonunda hangi dil çıkış seviyesini hedeflediklerini, hazırlık sınıflarında hangi Almanca ders kitabının kullanıldığını, derslerin farklı dil becerilerini geliştirmeye yönelik ayrı ayrı mı yoksa bütünleşik olarak mı işlendiğini ve öğrencilerin haftada kaç saat yabancı dil olarak Almanca dersi aldığını ortaya koymaktı. Elde edilen sonuçların değerlendirilmesi sadece bölümlerin özel kabul koşullarında değil aynı zamanda hazırlık sınıflarında yürütülen uygulamalarda ve hazırlık eğitimin zamansal planlanmasında da üniversiteler arasında farklılıklar olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara bağlı olarak B1 düzeyinde Avrupa Dilleri Ortak Çerçeve Programının ölçütleri ile uyumlu bir Almanca çerçeve programı geliştirilmiştir. Öğretim programı, Almanca hazırlık sınıflarında dil becerilerinin geliştirmesine yönelik prensipleri, hedefleri, konuları, dersin işlenişinde öğretme yöntemleri ile ilgili ana prensipleri, medya kullanımı, dersin planlanması, proje odaklı ders yöntemi, öğrenme türleri, çeviri ve değerlendirme kriterleri gibi konuları içermektedir.

The existence of departments in many universities in Turkey that are the language of education in German in this context causes students to be prepared for these departments with the training in German as a foreign language. In Turkey, this education is primarily taught in the universities of foreign languages. The primary goal of this study is to develop a framework curriculum that can be used in German preparation classes by the universities in Turkey and to present a draft that should be processed with the appropriate learning content to the teachers in this field. In this context, the departments that have a German preparation class of all universities in Turkey were first identified. Based on the results of the research, the special acceptance conditions in the context of the German Preparatory Training of the respective departments were examined. The results showed that a large portion of the universities in Turkey accepted students who chose one of the languages of English, German or French in the central university exam. For the purpose of developing this framework curriculum, a survey was conducted to authorized teachers in German preparation classes and discussions were also conducted. The purpose of the survey questions was to reveal which level of language output the universities target at the end of the preparatory class, which German curriculum is used in the preparatory class, whether the courses are processed separately or integrally for the development of different language skills, and how many hours a week students receive German as a foreign language lessons. The assessment of the achieved results has shown that there are differences between the universities not only in the special acceptance conditions of the departments but also in the practices carried out in the preparatory classes and in the timing planning of preparatory education. Based on the results obtained from the study, a German framework program is developed in accordance with the criteria of the Common Framework Programme for European Languages at B1 level. The curriculum includes the principles, objectives, topics aimed at the development of language skills in the German preparation classes, the main principles related to teaching methods in the course process, the use of media, the course planning, the project-oriented course method, the learning types, the translation and evaluation criteria.

On Preparing A German Preparatory Framework Program Draft At University Level In Turkey

The fact that many universities in Turkey have departments teaching in German creates the necessity to prepare students for these departments with the education of German as a foreign language. In Turkey, this education is mainly given at the Foreign Language Colleges of the universities. The primary aim of this study is to develop a framework curriculum that can be used in German preparatory classes of universities in Turkey and in this way to present a draft that should be taught with appropriate learning content to instructors in this field. In this context, firstly the departments of all universities in Turkey with German preparatory classes have been determined. Depending on the results of the research, the mentioned departments' specific acceptance conditions in the context of German preparatory education have been examined. The results revealed that most of the universities in Turkey accept students who choose one of the languages of English, German or French at the central university entrance examination. In order to develop this framework curriculum, a survey was applied to the authorized teaching staff and meetings were also held in the German preparatory classes. The aim of the survey has been to reveal what language level the universities are targeting at the end of the preparatory class of universities, which German course book is used in the preparatory classes, whether the courses are taught individually or integrally to develop different language skills and how many hours per week students learn German as a foreign language. The assessment of the results obtained revealed differences not only in the special admission conditions of the departments but also in the applications carried out in preparatory classes and also in the temporal planning of preparatory education. Depending on the results obtained from the study, a German framework program was developed in line with the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages at level B1. The curriculum includes topics such as the principles for the development of language skills in German preparatory classes, objectives, subjects, the main principles of teaching methods in the course of teaching, media use, planning the course, project-oriented lesson method, types of learning, translation and evaluation criteria.
