Çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatı, yeni kuşakların okuma alışkanlığı kazanmasında ve onların hayata dair donanımlı hale gelmelerinde önemli rol oynar. Bunun için çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatı kategorisindeki eserlerin öncelikle onların dünyalarına hitap etmeleri/edebilmeleri beklenmektedir. Nitelikli eserleri okuyarak genç nesilleri hayata hazırlamak, geçmişte birçok dönemde takip edilmiş bir yoldur ve güncelliğini günümüzde de muhafaza etmektedir. Okuma kültürünün edilmesi için eserlerin çocukların veya gençlerin dünya algısına hitap etmeleri, gelişen teknoloji karşısında gençlerin karşı karşıya kaldıkları durumların algılanması ve bunların ehil kişilerce yürütülmesi, bilişim teknolojisinin üst düzeye ulaştığı günümüzde, belki de daha önce hiç olmadığı kadar önem arz etmektedir. Bu konudaki hassasiyet, çağımızın önemli sorunlarından olan gençlerin kimlik arayışlarında önemli katkılar sağlayabilir. Wolfgang Herrndorf (1965-2013) ve Nur İçözü (1948-) 21. yüzyıl çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatının kendi ülkelerindeki önemli temsilcilerindendir. Türk ve Alman edebiyatlarında kendi ülke koşulları bağlamında gençlerin sorunlarını eserlerinde merkezi bir konuma yerleştiren yazarlar, “Tschick” (2010) ve “Dönemeç” (2010) romanlarında olduğu gibi, eğitim ve öğretim motiflerine önemli bir yer vermişlerdir. Gençlik romanı niteliğinde olan her iki eser, birbirleriyle aynı yaşlarda olan kahramanların gelişimleriyle ilgili aile ve okul arasındaki bağın kopukluğunun, onların kimlik gelişimlerindeki zararlı sonuçlarını ele almaktadır. Eğitim ve öğretim ilişkisinin, aile ve okul örüntüsü bağlamında ele alınan bu çalışmadaki izlekler, örgün ve yaygın eğitim eksenlerinde belirlenmiş ve her iki roman karşılaştırmalı yöntem kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.
Children’s and youth literature plays an important role in the acquisition of new generations of read habits and becoming equipped with life. For this purpose, children and youth literature categories are expected to be able to address their worlds first. To prepare young generations for life by reading the qualified works is a path that has been followed in many periods in the past and retains its present and today. The fact that the works are addressed to the perception of the world by children or young people to the culture of reading, the perception of the situations that young people are facing in the face of developing technology and their conduct by the skilled persons, is more important today, when the information technology has reached the highest level,
Wolfgang Herrndorf (1965-2013) and Nur İçözü (1948-) are two important representatives of the twenty fiisrt century children’s and juvenile literature in their own countries, thus in Germany and in Turkey. Both Wolfgang Herrndorf (1965-2013) and Nur İçözü (1948-) deal with the problems of young people in their countries in their works as well as the question of education as it is shown in “Tschick” (2010) and “Dönemeç” (2010). These two novels might be classified as examples of juvenile literature and both novels have contemporary protagonists. And in these novels, it is shown that the lack of communication between the families and schools influence the construction of these young people’s identity in a negative way. Hence, in this study, the relationship between the families and schools and its influence on young people have been analyzed comparatively.
