Mâniler; Anadolu insanını duygularını, değer yargılarını, beklentilerini geleneğini, serzenişlerini en sade biçimiyle anlattığı türlerden biridir. Bu araştırmada Kütahya mânileri üzerine yapılan çalışmalardan hareketle, yerleşim yeri adları üzerine bir inceleme yapılmıştır. Araştırmada toplam 99 mâni, şekil, içerik, ağız özellikleri açısından incelenmiştir. Mâni konusunda yapılmış olan akademik çalışmalardan da faydalanılarak aynı kalıp üzerine söylenen maniler üzerine de durulmuştur. Mâni söyleyicisi yaşadığı bölgenin özelliklerini, tarihi unsurlarını, sosyal hayatını, kültürel değerlerini ve yaşadığı yerin adını metinde yansıtır. İcra ortamının yakınlığı sebebiyle ortak kalıplar şeklinde oluşan mânilerin birbirlerine yakın yerleşim yerlerinde aynen tekrarlandığı söylenebilir. Halk Edebiyatı metinlerinin en önemli özelliklerinden birisinin çeşitlenme özelliği olduğu göz önüne alınacak olursa bu benzerliğin doğal olduğu söylenebilir. Anonim Halk Edebiyatı türleri içerisinde en eski türlerden olan mâniler söyleyişi kolay olduğu için her ortamda ve konuda söylenebilir. Kütahya yöresi manilerinde değişik yerleşim adlarının isimleri geçmektedir. Özellikle Kütahya olmak üzere Kütahya’nın ilçeleri Altıntaş, Domaniç, Gediz, Simav, Tavşanlı, Emet, Hisarcık(Asarcık), İlçelere bağlı belde ve köy adları; Kayaarası, Kuşulu(Guşulu), Akçaalan, Yolaklı, Dumlupınar gibi yerleşim yerlerinin yanında Edirne, Ankara, Bursa, İstanbul, İzmir gibi tarihi ve kültürel yerleşim yerlerinden de bahsedilmektedir. Yerleşim adları en fazla birinci dizede yer almaktadır. 99 mâninin 52 tanesinde birinci mısrada, 23 tane üçüncü mısrada, 2 ve 4.dizelerde ise 12’şer defa yerleşim adları geçmektedir.

In this study, names of settlements have been examined starting from the works on Manis of Kutahya. In this research,99 Manis in total have been examined in terms of shape, content and ways of speaking. Manis which are said in the same pattern were also focused by benefiting from academic reseaches on Mani. Mani sayers reflect the characteristics of his/her own region, historical factors, social life, cultural values and the name of his/her own living place. Because of the closeness of performing environment, Manis which are formed in the same pattern have been repeated identically in settlements that are close to each other. If we consider that one of the most important features of folk literatue texts is diversicıfıcation, it can be said that this similarity is natural. “Manis which is one of the oldest in anonymous folk literature can be said in every setting and topic because of their easy sayings. Different settlement names are said in Kütahya region manis. Especially names of Kütahya and its countries(Altıntas, Domanic, Gediz, Simav, Tavsanli, Emet, Hisarcik(Asarcık)and its towns and villages, Kaynarca, Kususlu, Yolaklı, which is settlement and Edirne, Ankara, Bursa, İstanbul, İzmir which are hictoric and cultural settlemnts are said in manis. Names of settlements take part in the first verse mostly. From among 99 Manis, names of settlements are found in first verse in 52 Manis, in third verse in 23 Manis and, in the second and fourth verse in 12 Manis.
