Abstract:

Advances in the field of technology, economy and ecology have brought the paradigm changes also in art and design. Visual communication design, which survives by continuing its development on the axis of these new paradigms, and this dissertation study, which is an also analysis of the education in the national and international levels, Contributes to the field. This study is carried out along with using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Within the scope of this study, the faculties and departments which give education in the fields of visual communication and graphic design as well as the opinions of the instructors are tried to be detected with a questionnaire by conducting them. This study in which there are reviews about the intended result with the evaluation of the findings obtained, has an importance in terms of examining in depth the terminology problem between the concept of graphic design and visual communication design.
