Genel olarak zemin şiir veya model şiir adı verilen bir şiirin vezin, kafiye gözetilerek benzerinin yazılması şeklinde tanımlanan nazire, klasik Türk şiirinde işlevselliğini sürekli koruyup devam ettirerek zamanla bir gelenek hâline gelmiştir. Etkili bir şiir öğrenme metodu olan nazire yazma / söyleme, edebiyat tarihimizin hemen her döneminde, farklı nazım şekilleriyle varlığını devam ettirmiştir.
