Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının "dijital vatandaşlık ve boyutları" hakkındaki düzeylerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırmada, nitel veri toplama araçlarından görüşme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümünden 68, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Bölümünden 74 ve Türkçe Öğretmenliği Bölümünden 58 öğretmen adayı ile araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formu kullanılarak görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formunda kullanılan sorular Türkçe Öğretmenliği, Sınıf Öğretmenliği ve Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Bölümlerinde derse giren uzman hocaların görüşleri dikkate alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmeler sonucu elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları genel olarak değerlendirildiğinde: Dijital vatandaşlık ve alt boyutları ile ilgili yeterli düzeye sahip olmayan bölümün Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Bölümü olduğu ve bu bölümü sırasıyla Türkçe Öğretmenliği bölümü takip etmektedir. Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümü öğrencilerinin dijital vatandaşlık ve alt boyutları hakkında bilgi düzeyleri az da olsa diğer iki bölümden daha iyidir. Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Bölümü öğrencilerinin dijital vatandaşlık, dijital iletişim, dijital okuryazarlık, dijital etik, dijital hak ve sorumluluklar gibi kavramların ne olduğuna çoğunlukla “hayır bilmiyorum” cevabı verdikleri; Türkçe Bölümü Öğrencilerinin de dijital erişim, dijital okuryazarlık, dijital hak ve sorumluluklar gibi kavramların ne olduğuna genelde “hayır bilmiyorum” cevabı verdikleri; her üç bölüm öğrencilerinin sadece “dijital ticaret” kavramını yeterli düzeyde açıkladıkları görülmektedir.

The aim of this study is to determine the level of the pre-service teachers about the “digital citizenship and its sub-dimensions”. In this qualitative study, interview method was used to gather required data. The interviews were conducted with 68 pre-service teachers from Primary School Teaching Department, 74 from Social Studies Education Department, 58 from Department of Turkish Education by using Standardized open-ended interview forms developed by the researcher. The questions used in Standardized open-ended interview forms were prepared taking the views of experienced teachers teaching at Primary School Teaching Department, Social Studies Education Department and Department of Turkish Education into consideration. The data gathered through the student's interviews were analyzed by applying content analysis method. Having evaluated the research results in general, the department which does not have enough level related to digital citizenship and its sub-dimensions is Social Studies Education Department and that is followed by Turkish Education Department respectively. The Primary School Teaching Department students’ knowledge level about digital citizenship and its sub dimesions are a bit better than the two departments. It is seen that the Social Studies Education Department students mostly give "No, I don't know" answer to the questions pertaining to such concepts as digital citizenship, digital communications, digital literacy, digital etiquette, digital rights and responsibilities; The Turkish Education Department students especially give "No, I don't know" answer to those about digital access, digital literacy, digital rights and responsibilities. All departments’ students know only the meaning of the digital commerce very well and define this concept as “the trading and shopping on internet".
