Bu çalışmanın amacı, büyük usta Orhan Kemal’in tüm hikaye ve romanlarında kullandığı atasözlerini ortaya koymak ve tasnifini yapmaktır. 1914-1970 yılları arasında yaşamış olan yazar, 60’lı yıllarda verdiği eserlerle Türk toplumunun beğenisini toplamıştır. Türkçemizde her zaman tek cümle halinde bulunan atasözlerinde gereksiz kelime asla bulunmaz. Hatırda kalmayı ve kalıcılığı arttırmak amacıyla kafiye, tekrar, ölçü, aliterasyon, devrik cümle gibi unsurlardan yararlanılmıştır. Ayrıca çoğunlukla geniş zaman ve emir kipi kullanılmış, kimi zaman da fiil kullanmaya bile gerek duyulmadan anlatılmak istenen dile getirilmiştir. Halkın içinden gelmiş ve zor bir yaşam sürmüş olan üstat, yapıtlarında anlattığı her kesimden halk insanının yaşamıyla beraber dilini de yansıtmıştır. Çukurova’da çalışan ırgatların ve fabrika işçilerinin sorunlarını, gurbete çalışmaya giden işçilerin ve kenar mahalle insanlarının hayatlarını anlatırken saf ağız özeliklerini, deyişlerini muhafaza etmiştir. Yapıtlarındaki atasözleri, zıt ifadelerle kurulmuş, kafiyeli, yakın yada aynı seslerden oluşan, tekrarlı, mukayeseli, paralel anlatımlı, , ikilemelerle, soru ifadeleriyle, sıfatlarla oluşturulmuş, devrik cümleli, eksiltili cümleli, de- fiiliyle kurulan, sayılardan oluşmuş ve geniş zaman yargılı atasözleri olmak üzere on beş kategoriye ayrılmıştır. Zaman zaman olayların seyrine ve karakterlerin yapısına göre biçimlendirilmiştir öykü ve romanlarında atasözleri. Eserlerinde 365 tane atasözü bulunan Orhan Kemal, halk dilinin ve Türkçenin zenginliğini ortaya koymuştur.
The purpose of this study is to reveal and make the narrative that the great master Orhan Kemal used in all his stories and novels. The writer, who lived between 1914 and 1970s, collected the likes of the Turkish society with his works in the 60s. There are never unnecessary words in our Turkish words that are always in one phrase. In order to keep in mind and increase durability, it has been used by elements such as cache, repeat, measurement, aliteration, revolutionary phrase. It is also mostly used a wide time and order kit, and sometimes it is said to be told without even having to use the real. The master, who came from the people and had a difficult life, from every section he spoke in his works reflected his language along with the life of the people. He retained the characteristics of pure mouth while speaking about the problems of the rabbits and factory workers, the lives of the workers who go to work in the gurbete and the people of the coastal neighborhood. The words in their works are divided into fifth categories, which are composed of opposite expressions, divided into numerous, close or the same voices, repeated, comparative, parallel narrative, twisted, questioning expressions, sorted, revolutionary phrase, scattered phrase, de-factual, composed of numbers and broad-time judgment. Sometimes it has been formed according to the course of events and the structure of the characters in their stories and novels. Orhan Kemal, which has 365 speeches in his works, has revealed the richness of the people’s language and Turkish.
This study aims to deal with and classify the proverbs used in leading author Orhan Kemal’s short stories and novels. The author who lived between 1914-1970 produced works in 1960s which were very popular among Turkish people. The proverbs almost always exist only as a single sentence in Turkish and they do not have any unnecessary words. In order to keep them in mind easily and be remembered without any difficulty rhyme, repetition, metre, alliteration and inverted sentences were used. Mainly simple present tense and imperatives were used in these proverbs and sometimes even without any use of a verb the intended message is delivered to the reader. The master who was a real public figure had a difficult life. His works cover everybody’s life and their difficulties from the all walks of life. Kemal’s works depict the problems and lives of the labourers in Çukurova fields, at the factories, those who migrate abroad for work and the difficulties faced by the people living the slumps and suburbs by retaining the characteristics and beauty of the local language and sayings. The proverbs in Kemal’s works are based on contrasting expressions, rhymed, near or the same sounds, repetitive, contrastive, parallel narration, reiterative, questions tags, constructed by adjectives, inverted sentences, elliptical, de-verb formed, made up of numbers sentences and those which are told in simple present tense can be categorized into five categories. The proverbs used in shorts stories and novels were formed according to the nature of the character and plot. Kemal used 365 proverbs in his works depicting the use of vernacular and the richness of Turkish language.
