Abstract:

In the focus of our study, psycho-social factors effecting formation of god perception in sathiyes and god perception formed with the effect of such factors. As it is known god perception is affected by socio-cultural environment, education and internal experiences of the person. An analysis regarding personal histories and cultural environments of poets which have a different god perception from tradition they belong to and have presented this special experiment through sathiye will assist us to understand issue. For this purpose, issue is evaluated in two parts. In the first part formation of god perception, approaches of object relations theory regarding formation of god perception and social ground supporting this formation are examined. Moreover a conceptual analysis is included in order to ease sathiyes that constitute main material of the research to understand. In the second part, a conceptualizing attempt regarding god perception in sathiyes is tried and poems regarding god perception are evaluated with a typological approach. In this model four main titles become prominent. First are poems expostulating to god: some poems of Yunus Emre and Âsık İhsani are given as examples of them. Second are poems asking the god for its action: some lines of Kaygusuz Abdal, Azmi Baba and Âsık Veysel are given as examples of this class. Third are the poems blaming god: Here again some lines of Kaygusuz Abdal are handled. Fourth are the poems stating complicated feelings regarding god: here especially some lines of Pir Edip Harabi are evaluated. Sathiyes that exist under social conditions of their periods but reflects personal state of mind and specific experiences of poets provide considerable data in the aspect of god perception.
