Abstract:

Putting forward concrete evidence of the antiquity and richness of Turkish, researchers working in this direction, they offer one of the most important documents are hendianyoins. Because the “hendiadyoin” for the emergence of the so-called structures of a language must be processed for many years. Since the earliest known works of Turkish reduplications often used, especially in unused or little-used archaic words alone throughout the history of the Turkish also facilitates monitoring. Therefore, hendiadyoins, especially in the most important data for the study of the Turkish language. In this article, hendiadyoins in Evliya Celebi's Seyahatname (basis on Dankoff’s work) are discussed and used in this work are presented some thoughts about 95 hendiadyoins. Sometimes shown on the etymological explanations given hendiadyoins by Dankoff, sometimes unseen structures need to be explained, only the TTS and DS were compared with the data. Thus, living in Turkey Turkish words and hendiadyoins in Evliya Celebi’s Seyahatname is compared. In this study, all of hendiadyoins in Seyahatname is not shown. Evliya Çelebi as a master of a language and style to draw attention to how using words.
