Abstract:

With the mass media’s coming to our lives a lot words that are used in Turkey Turkish dialect have swiftly discarded and written language has started to draw close to grammar rules. These words whicch are on the verge of extinction should be recorded as immediate as possible. Such that this situation has been recognized since the first years of the Republic and Journal of Collected Words from Colloquial Language in Turkey, which was published under the guidance of Turkish Language Association, provided the inspiration for determination of Turkish vocabulary. Today, in the light of both experiences of these works and new additional information and documentation important steps are being taken for the sake of preservation of local words. By this way, Turkish language vocabulary has been taken under preservation by Compilation (Collation) Dictionary’s both being webified and published as Collected Words from Colloquial Language in Turkey. However, still there are many words that has not taken their places in Compilation Dictionary in terms of some particularities. Consequently academic studies are being published in order to enhance Compliation Dictionary and to correct some of its deficiencies. This work has been constituted in order to contribute dialect studies and to enhance Compliation Dictionary. In this way, seventy eight words, which are being used in Tandırlı village of Erzincan but cannot be found in Compliation Dictionary in terms of some particularities, are classified in various sub-headings according to their structures and functions by being collected under four main headings. The words that we collected in our study were determined via inquiries and recorded. Beside these, the words’ pronounciation features were taken into account and written in transcription signs.
