Abstract:

Ali’nin Yusuf ve Züleyha adlı eseri Türk dilinin karışık dilli eserlerinden biridir. Türk, İran ve Arap edebiyatlarında pek çok kimse tarafından ele alınıp işlenen Yusuf ve Züleyha hikâyesinin ilk kaynağı, Tevrat olarak bilinmektedir. Türk dünyasında, Yusuf ve Züleyha hikâyesi en geniş biçimiyle yer almıştır. Özellikle bu hikâye, Tatar, Başkurt, Azerbaycan ve Türkmen Türkleri arasında oldukça yaygındır. Türk edebiyatında Yusuf ve Züleyha hikâyesini ilk kaleme alan, Harezm’li bir Türk olan Ali’dir. Ali, eserini Türkçenin hece ölçüsüyle ve dörtlükler halinde yazmıştır. Eserin Türk dünyasının birçok bölgesinde yazma ve basma nüshalarına ulaşmak mümkündür.
