Abstract:

Karamanlılar, Anadolu’daki Türkçe konuşan ve yazılarında Grek alfabesini kullanan Ortodoks Hristiyanlardı. Özellikle Anadolu’da (Karaman, Konya, Kayseri, Isparta, Burdur, Aydın ve Karadeniz vb.), İstanbul, Suriye ve Balkanlar’da yaşadılar. Karamanlılar aslında 11. yüzyılda Anadolu’da, özellikle Toros dağlarına Bizans tarafından yerleştirilen askerlerdi. Bunlar Bizans ordusunda paralı asker olan Türk (özellikle Peçenek ve Kuman Türkleri) boyları idi. Daha sonra Ortodoks Hristiyan inancını benimsediler. Şu anda çoğu 1923’teki nüfus mübadelesinden beri Yunanistan’da yaşamaktadır. Bu çalışmada 1860 yılında Atina’da basılmış Yunanca - Osmanlıca / Karamanlıca bir sözlük olan Leksikon Ellinoturkikon adlı sözlüğün tanıtımı yapılmış ve özellikleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.
